Leave WOW, and come to EQ2!!!Follow

No need to smash 'em. WoW is very good at what it does. It provides a simple, arcade-like MMO experience that is fast paced and gratifying. It's easy to see why it's so popular. And I don't think their graphical style is bad, just different. It's unique. Some people dig it. All in all it's a solid MMO, and when folks burn out or are ready to step up to something a little more in-depth we'll be here for 'em. Good times.

I'm a WoW player and this is the first post I see in the EQ2 forums forums? Your argument for switching to EQ2 is, to say the least, horrible. Needing lower system specs is a PLUS. The visuals aren't that bad, I'm assuming you've never been to the expansion zones in Outlands, it looks pretty awesome.



They are both traditional MMORPG mechanics, if WoW coppied off of anyone it was EQ1, but that is a different claim. In any case, I fail to see how the game mechanics are copied, let alone worse.

Don't get me wrong, there are plently of problems with WoW and I'm sure EQ2 is a great game with many good qualities. In fact, I came to this forum to see what kind of posts people were making to get a general idea of the "character" of the game (I loved EQ1 when it came out). Your argument, however, is completely useless and gives me not one shred of evidence why EQ2 is better GAME. Is it more fun? Is the community better? Are there more diverse roles for groups? You answered none of these questions that might actually persuade someone to switch over.

The graphics are better in EQ2? Cool, that is not even close to the most important part of a game. If Ultima Online was still how it used to be with the asme graphics, I'd play it in a heart beat. Not only that, but I don't really think the graphics are THAT much better.
