Hey hows it goin. I've been recently lookin for a new MMO game to play. First one i tried was FFXI and that sucked cause of no solo play and groups took forever to find. Thats when I went to WoW and boy was that nothing but solo...
I heard that EQ2 had both but not sure. Also if I did come I'm trying to see if the job system is like FFXI with a job/subjob combo. Also which if any combo would be good for a player that wants hand to hand combat. Well if anyone would give me an answer that'd be appreciated.

Another thing I would like to know about this game is how the lvling up goes. For instance if its quest based or grinding. Like in WoW you get quests from the NPC and go do that for EXP or as FFXI you just find a group and grind. Or if there are group quests that give rewards. Pretty much just is this a game that has a crap load of quests that you do for exp and rewards or is it just a grind like crazy to hit the highest lvl so you can go quest.

Now one last question and I'll finally leave this one alone. I'm playin on a laptop that has decent internet speeds. It aint the **** but its alright. I'll list my specs, hopefully one of you out there know if its decent enough. Thanks again and if this gets enough replies with helpful info I may just start playing. Have a good one and thankyou.

Specs:Processor Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU T5200 @1.60GHz 1.60GHz
2G RAM
NVIDIA GEFORCE Go 7300
79.8G Free space left. Guess I should delete some **** haha j/k

EQ2 has options for every play style. You can solo all the way to the level cap if you feel like it or you can group your way. There is content designed to accomadate the solo'ers and the groupers as well as the hardcore raiders.

EQ2 doesn't have a job system like FFXI. In EQ2 you have your adventuring class (Warriors, Shadowknight, Wizard, Templar, Ranger, Necromance, etc. etc. etc.) and a tradeskill profession if you want to dabble in crafting items (weaponsmith, armorer, tailor, carpenter, etc.).

It depends on how rabid you are about playing, but in general you will find levelling in EQ2 to be significantly slower than WoW. The first 20 or so levels fly by, after that the pace drops significantly. Leveling/experience gain is done via a combonation of questing, exploring and of course good `ol fashioned mob killing. You have can dozens of quests in your journal at a time and some will take you months to complete while other take mere minutes. You'll mix up questing and grinding to suit your play tastes. It's all there.

That's plenty of machine to be able to run the game with moderately good settings. You won't be able to go balls to the wall full high performance, but frankly there aren't many people who can.

HTH, I hope you enjoy your stay.
