Will Gold In Escrow Hold My Apartment While I'm Gone?Follow

My EQII account is due to expire in a couple of days, and I need to let it lapse for a time while I go and do other things.

Here's the question: Will gold in my apartment's escrow slot automatically pay the upkeep while I'm away -- or will I come back in six/eight/twelve months to find my apartment, and all the stuff in it, gone?

The apartment is the 5 silver per week one in Castleview Hamlet, The Bed and Book Inn. I've got ten gold in escrow right now, hoping to keep the bills paid in my absence.

I've got more souvenirs from adventuring now than I could possibly carry on my character and/or store in the bank, so that's not a preferred option.

Thanks for any and all speedy replies. Happy questing!

LL

Just stop paying it, your appartment will be there when you get back. If you arent going to pay let the last payment expire and then when you come back just pay your upkeep again. I've gone on 6 month + breaks and my appartment never went away.

Yeah. Not paying your rent just results in you not being able to /enter/ the home until you pay it. All of it's contents remain intact.

Pretty much the only way to lose your apartment is to loose the character.

Just to let you know I just came back from close to a year leave of abcense and had 3 toons with different apartments. Each stocked with stuff. All I had to do was pay the current rent charge. All was well and nothing had changed.

So take as long as you need. As long as you do not delete your toon you will keep your apartment and if the rent lapses it will not even take the coin from your bank or toon.

As you've read, you won't lose your stuff... :)
All that will happen is that people won't be able to access your place to see your stuff... when you come back, you can just pay the upkeep and everything goes back to normal. My toon was gone for 3 weeks real time and all I did when I came back was pay the upkeep and it was as if I'd never left.

However your apartment will be dusty and rodent infested so make sure you cover the armor and toss out any food stuff....
