The EQ2 population is very healthy and only getting stronger. In fact we see more threads like this, with people defecting from other games, ready for somethign new every day.

You should have no problem finding an environment to suit your needs on most servers, wheter you want to solo, group or raid.

Stugein said it and I agree. It's really amazing how many new players have been posting threads like this lately. Even more amazing is the ammount of people returning to the game after trying it out at launch. It would seem word is spreading that EQ2 is "fun" now.

QFE!

Having stuck with the game from launch (and it was never a "bad" game by any stretch, it just had growing pains) I feel we have a fun, growing stable game with a lot of forward potential. You can rip through it to the top levels at high speed or take your time and do everything possible as you level up; you can solo, group, raid, or just craft; you can be dedicated to your main or an alt-aholic. However you like to play, this game will support your playstyle.

And dang, after almost 2 1/2 years, it's still a lot of fun!

It's nice to see so many new players in the game =). I'm glad I came back to EQ2 ever since I stopped playin EQ1 I was looking for another MMO that was fun and had a good community base but nothing filled that gap until now, I havent enjoyed a game this much in years.

I really enjoy starting a new toon from time to time to keep things "fresh". With that said, I have no problem getting in a group. If it's slow, or if I dont have much time, I will Tradeskill.

I have had this game since launch and I'm still hooked. I left for a while to play Vanguard and that game didn't keep my interest like this one.

Yeah, and if you're stuck soloing ypu're not forced to grind unless you want to. There are some pretty neat solo quest lines out there.

You will enjoy this if coming from WOW. I started playing EQ2 a few years ago and then needed a break and went to WOW, played there for about a year and have returned. I too got a tired of the Grind and at lvl 65 Rogue just very little groups to play with, more mage tank friendly.

Since my return to EQ2 I have been very pleased with the adds.

As for your question about low level play. There are times no matter what server you are on that you will most likely solo for awhile. The kewl thing is that they have a looking for group tab you can place up to let others know you are looking. Plus there are level chats you can post to ask questions and to post LFG requests.

There are so many quests that you can do solo that most of my play, before my leave and after, have been done solo. Less so as of late. I have toons that range lvl 10-20, 30-40, and 50-60 and no matter which one am playing at the time there are always people LFG and out playing. Mostly a good bunch of people to.
