Old Sage back after a year offFollow

One just wanted to say hello to all the crafters and ask a few question to my fellow Sages, and other crafters. I have been off for a little over a year so forgive a few of these questions if they seem off the wall.

First off - Is it correct that all caster spells from level 51-70 are scribed only? So everyone is depending on Sages to further their spell knowledge. Are there still ancient scrolls for 51-59?

Use to have a ton of bookmarks for links to crafting sites. Many of them went into a lot of detail for each of the craftable items, at least raw mats and the such. Also could find a list of recipe books and advanced books so you could make sure you were not missing anything. Could search for items by name and level. Does anyone have a few sites they would be willing to share with me. Have found one or two but they do not seem to have the detail I remember.

I have been checking the broker and seems that Ap IV spells are going pretty cheap, almost broker by back cost, and Adept III's are much better priced since I left. At least better for us. In the past I use to not charge for work orders if they supplied the material, did not charge but always accepted tips. How are most of you doing this? If they do not supply the mats I was charging 1g for T3 and T4 spells and 2g for T5 and T6, and they must always supply the rare for Adepts. Was just wondering what the masses were doing. Most of the money coming in from my Sage was from Broker sells of Adepts.

The crafter merchants behind the desk seem to still be giving out work orders. Previously they use to give status points, do they still?

I assume that all the level 60-70 recipe books are in the kingdom of Sky, is that correct? Do they also have advanced sage volumes?

Thanks for all of ya'lls time

Those crafting sites probably haven't kept up on the recipes. Tradeskills got completely revamped Game Update 23 and basicly every recipe and darn near every crafted item in the game changed. I'm not sure anyone is 100% up on it, if meant throwing out a lot of database work.

I have been level 70 scribe for over a month now, and have learned that on the Oasis server it rare that a Sage is contacted for work. And yes, I do click the working for work flag. I tried standing by the docks in Qeynos Harbor and no one noticed my LFW title. Usually I am off adventuring or in a group when someone private messages me to make them an Adept III book. If they need it right away, I charge 15-20g per book (they supply the rare) for the hassle. If they mail the rare to me I will go as low as 10g. If I make any thing below a T6 spell then I cut these prices in half usually.

I usually just wait until I see someone looking for a sage Arcane. I have also seen and heard of people charging 5g per tier, so you are giving them a great discount on Oasis.

For any guildies I only ask for the rare for adepts and roots if I am out or they have some, no fuel cost or anything else. Certain adepts for any of the tradeskills sell very well. I used to keep a spreadsheet with all of the average costs and would work my TSin from that. As of recently I only do TS writs and custom orders when I ask my guildmates if they need anything made.
