First of all I have to say it is good to be back. Have been on break for a little over a year trying out other games and I think it is time to come back home. Have to say that I feel pretty lost about now but am getting it all back. Had been off for so long that I had Vitality for 3 levels, knocked out a few this weekend both crafting and adventure.

Can remember when all of this was Ogaming. Went looking thru a bunch of posts and saw a few familiar names, it's good to see that Chimpnoodle and Stugein are still kicking it. Was a little suprised that there were no posts from Arctic though.

OK, for a few questions if you do not mind.

For one, how do you get to the fallen dest zones? Have run all over Freeport and other zones. Also what level range are they?

Are the cloaks guild only or are they merchant sold? Have seen several with them and they look like a nice little addition for appearance.

Have there been any BIG changes to game play? Been hitting the forums but most of them do not say much. Not worried about the lil things they change from time to time, just worried about the big smacks. Can remember a few back a year or two, like the crafting changes and a few class nerfs that hurt us all real bad. Still like the older crafting play but getting over it.

Will put all the other questions specific to class and crafting in the related forums.

can get to the Isle of Mara from Nek forest docks (for sure, maybe TS also). it is next to the EL bell, and designed for (from what I hear) 55+.

Cloaks are available for any one. most of them are crafted by tailors, some are quested, and one (the Cloak of Flames) is an HQ.

I don't think there have been any changes like that. they have made several changes and revamps (DFC is now heroic, and Fyst is also heroic), added new armors that can be made only in DFC, things like that, but overall, they've been holding back the nerf bat for now.

Hey Fabien. Long time no see. Yeah, most of us are still around with a couple notable exceptions. Arctic and Ktok have been MIA for awhile. Not sure about Arctic, but it seem Ktok got sucked back into the WoW beast for the time being.

Mariner Bell in Nektulos. You can tool around and do quests in Shin Village at 50+. The Lake zone and big dungeon zone are 55+. Monk tower instances scale up with you. The big single group and raid instances are for the 65-70 crowd.

You can score cloaks just like any other piece of gear. They run the gamut from player crafted pieces to dropped and quested pieces.

Hrm. Tough to say. There was the big combat change awhile back, but I think you were around for that one. More recently there have been zone revamps like Qwash mentioned. DFC just got retooled. There's a new Nektropos instance. New character customization options in the form of a new, class-specific AA tree that came with the EoF expansion. Nothing mind-blowing, but good tweaks and improvements here and there. The core gameplay elements have remained the same.

If you're a tradeskiller we suffered a massive tradeskill revamp about 10 Updates ago. No more subcombines, and across the board nerfage, I mean, re-tuning of Rare crafted into Mastercrafted.

The biggest recent combat change was the introduction of higher caps on stats along with the concept of diminishing returns. IIRC it happened about the time EoF was released. It doesn't really affect you until you get to very high levels where you have lots of fabled gear, but everyone sees less upgrade between the different tier gear (e.g. mastercrafted vs Legendary or Adept 3 vs. Master 1)

I think the point was to compensate for no evel cap increase by giving level 70's new gear with higher stats from thier new raids, but nerfed a bit compared to the old system so as not to unbalance the game.
