Good Morning, AllaK's - 4/02/07Follow

Good morning, happy campers.

I spent the weekend back home in Good `ol Virginia. Good times. Grubbed with the family and caught up on all the goings-on.

I'm still one and a half quests away from finishing Cloak of Flames. It's like pulling teeth to get people to go down to Mistmoore Catacombs if you /aren't/ planning to go camping the Butler. Has adventuring gone down the tubes? Is it all about moving straight on to high-value targets now, with exploration and taking the road less traveled an afterthought? Is min-maxing a special combat ability that I wasn't aware of? Ah well. I'll convince some folk to do it eventually.

How was your weekend?

I got home from work last night just in time for one OOB run before I called it a night. I dont know if its me, or the "Patch" or the groups I get for OOB but wow. Last nights group sucked.

INC RANT!

First of all, Ive never really hd a good gorup for OOB, and for whatever reason, Ive had problems either holding agro or just dieing a lot in the stupid zone. So we start off with 5, and compelte the zone with 5. It took us 1.5 hours to finsih the zone.

Tank (me on Phalong, 70 SK Tank Spec'ed for STA, and Agro)
Healer (Defiler, 70.)
DPS (Monk, 70)
DPS (Assassin, 69)
DPS (Warlock, 66)

Needless to say, the assassin pulled agro on every single pull. I noticed that his "Agro Trasnfer" was at 22%. My level 48 Assassin has 23%. This assassin of course has Adept 3 to Master DPs abilities, but nothing for keeping agro on the tank. Also didnt know how to use basic deagro abilities.

The monk pulled agro id say 1/10 pulls. And thats normaly for me, monks just pull agro. He always FD'ed and Id be back in action.

The Warlock pulled agro 1/5 pulls and would of course die. He was AEing like crazy. He also didnt wait for a rez, he woudl revive, get lost, and die. He was 10% from naked when we finished.

After the first named, and the assassin going off on me for keeping agro, I pointed out that if he focused on agro manager, and maybe upgrading his agro transfer he claimed that I was in offensive stance. The others jumped on the band wagon. The rest of the way through the zone when the assassin pulled agro, i let him die.

I spent 22 Gold on repairs from last night and didnt get any loot. I also only got about 20% AA xp. such is life.

Im looking forward to getting my Assassin up so I dont have to worry about agro management. I can just excape if need be.

I also had a nice MM Cats group the other night. It went to crap when some of the members had to bail. I quickly found replacements because it was onyl DPS. However, one of them had a difficult time getting to us. We evaced to the ZI, and he kept falling off the ledge. /sigh.

Offensive stance, Im at about 52% Mitigation Self Buffed. 56% Mitigation Desensive. Its the same with a shield or without. I tank with a shield for the ability to bash and gain extra hate though.

had a pretty good weekend.

dinged the guild 21 by finishing Return of the Light HQ on 2 of my toons. myself and another completed Ghoulbane and Missing Mask HQs taking us to 25% towards 22. working on finding the runes for Speak as a Dragon on my Brigand (not to mention having to find a way to sneak grab one in Permafrost that was hiding under a damn epic). Hoping to finish SBS and Rescue HQs on my SK today (and several of the DFC quests) if I can find a group willing to kill in DFC instead of just going after Fyst. oh, and last but not least, dinged 41 and 2 AAs on my SK from Ghoulbane and Missing Mask HQs. now just to get the SBS and I will be rockin'.

Spent most of my weekend starting over in LOTR. Now that open beta is up and running and the server wipes are done it was time to start leveling my characters again.

Did manage to get into a Labs run on Sunday. A couple of nice shields dropped for the tanks and a bunch of nice cloth items had the int casters all drooling. And I caught a pair of Animist sleeves so it was all good!

The dragon that hangs with Vymenn is a tough bastage though!

Real Life burried me this weekend :) I started a Test toon, because I could use one that's not lvl 1 for site research. Boy, Test XP is fast! I'm at the fun level 10 point where you almost have too many quests to do.

Strawberries went on sale, I'm gonna make Strawberry jam today :)
