well, for those that haven't gone into the remodeled DFC, I won't ruin too much, except to say that it is very nice. Fyst is now a 42 heroic, and the entire zone is very challenging. overall, I give the change 20 thumbs way up (2 per toon, 10 toons :-P ). I hope yall enjoy it also.

Umm does that mean that Training is a Shield is now heroic and not epic?

yes, Training is a Shield HQ is now heroic. but if you think that just because DFC is now a heroic zone that it is wimpy, you are wrong. It is, delightfully, a nice challenge.

Has anyone found the new forge yet or any of the new armor set recipes? If so, I have a few questions.

1. Where is the forge located and can a level 45 get there easily?

2. What do the recipes entail and how common are the components?

3. What levels are the recipes and what do they return (Fabled/Legendary)?

Personally, I am as excited as a school girl to go to DFC. I can't wait to finish Operation Green Hood and get to crafting at the new forge. Too bad it's an instanced zone or I would just set up shop right there.

forge is on the ground level. found a couple recipies when I was in there. don't know what all is required b/c my bruiser is a provisioner and the recipies are for tailor and armorer (gee, go fig, its armor :-P ). but the recipies do require you to have a Blood Iron Ore which is a rare drop in the citadel (only found 2 or 3 when I was in there, and I lost track of how many we killed, but it was over 100, maybe close to 200, so looking at 2-3% if not 1%).

finally, no, a 45 cannot get there easily. several 38 heroics in the way, not to mention a couple in the building where the forge is.

yeah, well, you should have heard some of the people talk and rant in the game when they found out that Fyst was heroic. personally, I think they did an outstanding job with it. I went in there with 23 AAs, came out with 28. couldn't have done that if it was epic (at least I never did before).

They were right to revamp this to heroic. It was next to impossible to get a 2 group raid together at the appropriate level to kill Fyst. Many people were doing it with a group when they had the zone grayed out. I myself was never able to get a group together for months and ended up soloing him when I was high 50's. (That was an epic fight... it took like 45 minutes. :P )

Thanks Qwash. One more thing: Are they body drops or chest drops?

EDIT: Last thing: Are they no-trade?

Awesome Cal! Thanks for posting those so quickly. Do you by chance know how they compare in stats to the regular Mastercrafted Leather Armor? Also, you say it's a full set. Is there no recipe for the wrists for leather armor? I haven't leveled a tailor, so I am unsure.

No, the Blood Iron ore is not no trade. they are chest drops. and I can confirm as of today that they drop on orcs outside of DFC in Zek. found one today on a miner in the mines on my SK.
