As a 70 wizzie I find my dps isn't always I would like it to be. I've got masters for all my major dmg spells, but still can't match some other wizzies in the parse, often only managing 60-80% of the top wizzie. I'm doing my dots and then dd and so on and spinning em pretty fast, I'm using catalyze and other dmg enhancers, but still I must be missing something... Anyone loan me some clue(s)?

well, what kind of DPS are ya putting out? Im not an amazing wizzy but I like to think im atleast semi good :)
I usually hit top 3 on the end of a raid parse. But its hard to say if you even need improvment cause I dont know what kind of DPS you are wanting to improve ;o
I actually saved a parse (raidwide average) from a Labs raid so you can use some sort of comparison. Heres top 12 from it. To help ill put the class in ().

Show me what ya got, maybe I got some tips. Do you use manaburn and Freehand Soercery? How are you spec'd out on both of your trees? What Is your Ice Nova hitting for in raids? Should be able to make it frequently do over 20k.

One thing I noticed on my wizzie was that I was getting real tied up in making my spells do more damage as opposed to getting more spells off in the firstplace. To change this I redid my AA to accomodate the Agi line that increased casting speed, grouping with Bards is also real helpful for their casting speed buffs. Other than that, timing your nukes for max effectiveness and keeping your dots up the whole time will also ensure more DPS.

also. what kind of group are you in? if you are in a group with a troub or illusionist you will do more damage.
