Hey. I bought the game a couple days ago and decided to try out the free month. I'm coming from Everquest 1. My question is.. are they any custom UI's to make it look like the first game? I know it seems stupid, but for the life of me, I can't just get used to the new interface. :( What are your suggestions? Thanks.

EQ2interface.com Not sure if there is a EQ1 interface but this is the place to look. I would also download the maps from EQ2maps you can find the link on the left side of the page when you go to EQ2interface.com

True, but I'm just so accustomed to the interface of the first game. :P

Change is good! You'll get used to this interface too... just give it a chance...

and btw - it's a much better interface than in EQ live... trust us on this! :-)

Actually, the more I play, the more I'm getting used to it. I thought two different windows for chat and combat were a bit odd, but I actually prefer it, because it's a lot easier to deal with people talking. :)

You can actually change that option if you don't like it. Select the tab you wish to close and do so. Then, right click the window you want to keep open and select chat options. In here you will find all of the different text that goes into that window and each type has more options if you expand the respective tab. For instance, if you expand the combat tab you will see options like Your Hits, Other's Hits, Your Misses, etc. Just select the text that you want to appear in your box and de-select the stuff you don't. I usually turn off all of the combat ones if I am MTing in a group or I send them to another window. Don't want to miss your healer screaming like a little girl when a ^^^ aggros because he got too close. (That was for your OBD Smiley: wink2)
