Well heres my problem,
Im not new to EQ2 well not that new. My father has been playing for over 2 years and I have probly done about that to, but my new toon will be a Templer and with my old toon Outfitter i want to be able to make armore for the templer.
heres the thing, I want to be a templer for group healing and for heavy armor,
as i was serching this forum i noticed alot of things like not good DPS and outher things.
Will this make the templer a bad or worse than the outhers group healer?

Well as an Inquisitor ( Freeport version of Templar ) I can give you some ideas. We do make for a good group healer, have a few good debuffs and later on in level have some helpful buffs as well. For DPS you are going to be at the bottom of the list, the thing is all healers will. That does not mean we can not solo play. I have soloed 3/4 of my toons life and enjoy it, been a long while since Fabienz has been in group actually. It does take a lot longer to take down mobs but with being able to wear full plate you can take a beating ( templar and inquis alike ) unlike the other healers. If you are going to be a group healer it will not matter much that you have little DPS.

Main points are direct healing and healing over time spells is a must to get at least Adept III if not master. Would not waste your time though until level 20 +.
