Why cant i sell my house ?Follow

You type in your characters name, minding the capital letters. When it's right the sell (or maybe it's "relinquish") button will become available. If it won't sell there will be a message, probably something like "you can't sell your house because you still have things in it."

If you have characters sharing a house, make sure the owner is selling it, not a trustee.
