Good Morning, AllaK's - 3/7/07Follow

Good morning, happy campers.

Sold some shinies on the brokers for a little pocket change. Good times.

I didn't win the Mega Millions. My master plan has failed.

I noticed that several of my weapons that used to have particle effects no longer have particle effects. This makes me sad. I paid big plat for certain weapons and put a ton of time into questing for certain others for no greater reason than that they had cool particle effects. I hope these effects come back. I may have missed it in the patch notes. Was this intentional?

I pulled a Ktok on a beggar in East Freeport.

I've got about 13p leftover in my bank after purchasing a couple upgrades. I'm wondering if I should save it for if there's something cool I want for my main later down the road or if I should trick out one of my alts. I suck at making and saving money. Oh the decisions...

How was your evening?

I spent yesterday trying to find every single item in our db that was part of an item set, 'cause we got some new support for them in our db and they all needed updating. I like to do a project like that in one swell foop, if possible, I hate losing my place.

In game, I sold a set of Sandalwood harvesting tools (wheee), started restocking my Adornment parts, and actually went out and adventured *gasp*. The solo quests in LFay are fun! (That's my next project after adding in some more gear from Sets, the LFay solo quest lines.)

I just started playing again yesterday. This is my second stint on EQ2, my first time being right after release on a roommates PC. I hold a lot of hope for this game after FFXI and WoW let me down. Shortly, I leave for work to put in 14 hours but a short list of accomplishments me thinks:

Rolled a Barbarian Shadowknight on Unrest.
Made it to lvl 10.
Have not started crafting yet, plan to after work or tomorrow. Still not sure which profession I wish to choose.

Well that pretty much covers it. If anyone wishes to offer me any advice, feel free to drop me a PM or send a /tell in game. My character name is Paskil.

Hope to see some of you in-game, and be a contributing member of these forums. Smiley: yippee

This is for Stugein:

I did harvest the other night (03/06/07), but I did not get to make it to LFay. I ran around the Twin Tears in SS for about 10 minutes, got my roots and pelts and then went off to craft for a bit. Thanks for all the advice.

Well, cancelled my account today to be honest.

It's more a dislike with mmorpg's in general though, not EQII alone. I tried out WoW again shortly before the expansion for a bit of variation but logged out the same day never to return there as well.

I don't know if I'll come back but I doubt it. The general direction of the game is not to my liking, that I do know. Unrest pretty much decided the whole thing. That's all personal opinion naturally, but all they are doing now is cater to the EQI fans with releasing old material in a new way. Naturally that is unavoidable as this is still Norrath, but still it focuses way too much on it. Just consider all the talk when the first hints of Faydwer were released and now again with Kunark.

Perhaps I'm just a bit burned out on mmorpg's, I've tried out a whole bunch of them over the years, only liking EQI, EQII and WoW for that matter, but right now there isn't a single one released and soon to be released that is appealing anymore.

Time for something else then, so I hope you all enjoy it for longer than I have Smiley: smile

It is sad to see you go, Abuj. You were the one who helped me get started in this game and I hope that you change your mind when I reach 70 so we can group and enjoy life :)

But good luck with whatever you do from here on out.

Eh, one of the smartest things a person can do is realise when they are dissatisfied with some part of their life and move on. Whether it's a job, a relationship, or a game.

Be happy in whatever you do!
