I started harvesting in SS last night. I pretty much stuck to the shores and found the nodes rather sparse. I ventured over to Buccaneer Beach and had about the same luck. Is there any part of SS or other T6 zones that have a higher concentration of nodes?

What particular types of nodes are you interested in? Different area have higher concentrations of different node types.

I'm mainly interested in ore, stones, roots and dens. The beach seems to have a lot of stones, but not much ore. The inner lying area near the croc caves seems to hold an equal number of dens, roots, shrubs and wood.

T6 is the first tier where they started to localize the nodes so they were more "logical" in location. That said, I never much liked harvesting in T6 until EoF came out and I could actually find more than 1 root in a day!

The open park-like areas should have roots, shrubs & critter dens while the soft and hard ore nodes can be found along the edges of cliffs and in cave locations like the croc caves. There is also a nice cave system where the monks live... lots of nodes spawn and no combat!

Still, I would recommend you try harvesting in Lesser Fay and see what you think.

I was going to head over to LFay tonight.

And where might these elusive monks be if a curious Guardian were to go looking for them? Smiley: wink2

In SS your best bet for stone and ore is the croc caves, assuming that you don't have too many other people in there at the same time. Aside from that, running the stone wall ridge from the sandslide out to the dervish area can net you a bunch. For roots and dens just do laps around both ponds of the twin tears (the lizardman one and the gnoll one).

There ia a tall cylindrical island out in the bay, you get to the top of it by climbing a cliff on the side. Not the big one with all the pirates. There are 3 or 4 ore and stone nodes that spawn up there along with several of those attack chests, which are solo. You can sit up there and harvest/kill chests because no one goes up there unless they're doing one particular quest. The ore seems to spawn pretty fast, and if you're a templar like me killing the chests, the first one will be respawining about when you kill the last. The fringe benefit is the chests drop pretty good coin and loot, and you'll see a soloable named chest now and then that drops a pretty nice item.

Ore nodes can also be found along the beach/cliff that runs perpendicular to the main beach going out to sea, past the Spectres. They're surrounded by easy solo pirate MoB's, which you can repeatedly kill for Maj'Dul faction quests. Also, up at the top of the cliffs overlooking the bay where the big spiders and blue orcs are. You'll have competition there but not as bad as the caves. The MoB's get harder as you go inland, Orcs and Goblns. Generally speaking in SS, sand and cliffs = ore and stone nodes, grassy ground = roots, dens, wood and shrubs.
