I'm sure this information is somewhere, but I have looked everywhere and cannot find it. I'm coming back after a year break, and I need information on the server types. I played on a PVP server and am looking at switching servers. I just need something that shows the description of the server types and what the differences are.

That wasn't what I was looking for. I was looking for the differences in each server. What I can/can't do compared to others. Not just the descriptions.
I am still confused on what you are looking for. All servers, excluding the PvP and the Station Exchange servers (RMT allowed), follow the same rule sets.

PvP you fight others
PvE you fight the enviroment and you can duel
RP PvE you pretend your a girl and cyber others while talking ye and thou
RP PvP you get beat up when your trying to pretend to be a girl while cybering others while talking ye and thou
Exchange servers you buy and sell stuff like ebay

Unlike EQ1, there is only one PvP ruleset.
There are no rules or changes to the way the server works specific to Roleplaying, they just want people who want to join others who enjoy roleplaying. It's not required, but it's encouraged. People who roll on an RP server just to make fun of roleplayers are R-Tards and should stick with WoW. (I tried an RP server there and it was a constant problem.)
As far as what you can and cannot do on a regular server, well, that's a pretty broad question as it encompasses the entire game. Is there something specific you want to know whether you can or cannot do?
