Hi guys,

I just purchased EoF a week or so ago and thanks to a tax return and a bit of spare money i was thinking about getting the fallen dynasty. Problem is i cant seem to find much info on it. So i was wondering if there was a lvl requirement and if anyone who has it could tell me if its a good digital download. If not am i better off with one of the others. Thanks in advance.

I am not sure about FD, but I can tell you that the Splitpaw Saga is amazing for level 20 and beyond. It scales to your level, so will always see mobs in your range. You will get great loot and good experience.

Fallen Dynasty is a great set of zones -IF- you are interested in the following:

Crafting - several of the quest lines center around crafting rewards. These include a very large bag (that holds only harvesting items) and an item for each crafting class to improve your skill.

Raiding - there are several very nice raid instances.

Adventure questing - there are several very nice quest lines involving mobs located within the main adventure zone.

The point of entry for the AP is a large non-combat zone that includes a dock area and a large village. Several interesting quests start on the docks and take you through the village in search of clues. Suggested lvl range is upper 50s to lower 60s and the crafting quests will require a lvl 50+ crafter.

I had a great time in the adventure pack. Aside from the crafting quests there are several quests that yield nice house items as reward. That said, Splitpaw is a better bet for flat out usefulness from lvl 20 - lvl 50.

Thanks for the info guys!
Went ahead and went with the Splitpaw Saga download today and so far really enjoying it. Chests drop pretty often with descent loot. The only thing I noticed is that after doing the intial entrance quest, the next instance had fairly high lvl mobs for supposed solo content. When i zoned in (keep in mind im lvl 41) there were lvl 41^^^ mobs everywhere. Not exactly solo content. And for the mobs I could take as a pally I couldn't imagine trying to pull off with my swashy. Even the arrow down mobs sometimes come in groups of four or five making it rough to get a spell off and even though the damage isnt real rough five of em smacking on you at the same time will whittle down your hps real quick.

I personally haven't run this instance yet, but I do know of a little quest called Harclave that might just help you out. Smiley: wink

Two things about the upper tunnels come to mind... the first is that there are 3 versions of the instance available at zone in. From top to bottom on the list they are normal, hard and very hard. Are you choosing an option other than the top one? This would make the mobs tougher than they need to be...

The second thing is that even in the normal mode, there are some group mobs in the instance but these are all easily avoided if you are solo or just choose to avoid them.

Regarding chest drops, I have always found Splitpaw to be one of the best places in the game to do solo loot runs. A run through the upper tunnels used to take me about an hour and netted an average of a dozen chest drops. Even if you vendor the loot, a dozen adepts and rare recipe books an hour is a pretty good revenue stream
