Well I played EQ and went to WOW for the past 2 years. Thing is rogues are now dead for raiding. That does not seem to be the case here. As a direct damage class what is looked for in EQ2? I read several post and a little confused. Thanks in advance.

As far as scouts go, straight DPS classes come in 2 flavors, melee and ranged.

A melee killer (like assassin) will normally out score a archer (like ranger). In addition, rangers still need to buy arrows in in spite of always scoring lower in the parse list! I don't think rogues are even in the same damage tier as predators but I could be wrong.

In spite of all this, I still love my ranger and wouldn't flip him for anything...
