Newbie AA questionFollow

#1 Feb 09 2007 at 12:29 PM Rating: Decent
I recently reactivated my account and I decided to start from scratch and roll a new pally.

I am a little bit confused by the AA system. Well, not so much the system itself, but by hearing people telling me that I should turn off adventure exp once I hit level 10, so that I dont out level the newbie quests and stuff I can do for quick AA exp.

I realize that I will get exp off of turning in quests, but will that really carry my character through the levels? According to some guide I have seen, when you hit level 70 you earn AA exp from anything that nets you regular exp will go towards AA exp. However, this same guide also says that I cant even begin to use AA exp until level 20.

So, I guess my main question is this: If I leave combat exp on and just enjoy the game as is, will that gimp my character too badly because I didnt earn enough AA from the newbie quests I out leveled? I know that once I hit level 70 I can kill things and/or do mentoring for newbie quests in order to earn AA points, however, during the whole leveling process from 10 to 70, will not having focused on AA's make it impossible to compete?

I mostly play solo, though I do enjoy grouping occasionally when I have time.

Thanks!

* edited to fix the title.

Turning off the XP is not neccessary, and mentoring later will let you take advantage of any AA opportunities you missed. You will not be at a disadvantage.

I have a lvl 28 SK with 42 AA now and i switched off xp at lvl 10.
I started doing quests and did as many as i can.
I strongly recomend this way to play, you get uber many aa at low lvl and get some plat together to becuse you will kill nameds over and over again.

I have done 234 quests, 103 nameds and not even explored everything.....my goal is to have 100 AA at 44.

I play at a pvp server BTW so i own the Q.s!
