Zone connections for EoFFollow

#1 Feb 08 2007 at 7:27 AM Rating: Decent
Hello guys :)

I am sorry to bug you all with this , but I have been searching for about 30 mins and found nothing. I can find tons of connection maps but they are all for the old world. I started a fae and I want to move my Fae to Qey. What I need to know is how do I get from Gfay to Qey?

I was thinking there is probably a dock in BBM , that goes to Nek or something? Any help would be awesome. I know to get to Nek from Qey you have to go thru Ant, then Thundering steps to Nek . I am guessing that for BBm it is BBM to Nek then Nek to Thundering steps to Ant to Qey . Am I way off here?

Thanks in advance for any help :)

There is a boat in Butcherblock Mountains that takes you to Thunderring Steppes or Nek Forest. Make sure you hail the captain standing at the dock to find out which boat is going where.

Actually, you don't have to go through all of that trouble when you are trying to get to Nek or TS. You can buy a ticket to Nek or TS from the harbor master in Qeynos Harbor that will transfer you right to the docks of the respective zone as soon as you click on the "Voyage by Sea" bell. Unfortunately, unless you are bound in Qeynos and can CoQ, there is no easy way to go from TS or Nek back to Qeynos.

couple of additional points...

First, it doesn't much matter whether you take the BB boat to Nek Forest or T-Steppes, there is a bell on each of those docks to visit the other. SO, if you boat to Nek, you can bell to T-Steppes and vice versa.

Once you are at the docks in T-Steppes, it is a short safe run (for a lvl 25) to the zone line into Antonica. From the Antonica zoneline, it is a long safe run to the Qeynos gates. Stick to the roads and you shouldn't have any real problems.

Next, if you plan to stay in Qeynos, IE: get a home there, you'll need citizenship and to get that you'll need to have emptied your bank vault and given up your home in Kelethin. You might want to do all that first... or you might want to avoid it now and go back to do it later. In any case, assuming you don't vacate, I don't know if you'll have access to a Kelethin bank till you return home to Gfay...

Can anyone else shed any additional light here?

Thank you very much for the info :)

I am not sure what I am going to do about my home etc. I am trying to decide which city would be better for me. I have a 33 illusionist that lives in Qey and has a 2 room apt. My fae is living in Kel and paying for an apt there as well. I was thinking of moving my fae to Qey to save some rent LOL. The only issue with that is I am having a blast in Gfay. I thought once I out grew Gfay I would move over to Qey side ( save the rent and get to share my much kewler apt in Qey ). Now that I ran thru BBm tho ( to get my ports spells) I think it looks like a nice zone to move into for hunting. If I do that then I wont want to move my Fae as she will be far from ending my day at my home ( so I can dump my wares on my trader) each day ><

Thanks to the info here last night I ran my little wizzy to ant , got the rune from the spire, and now can port there. Then I was sitting in Ant planning my long run to Com. Lands when I decided to check out where the portal I was standing in front of actually went. I zoned into a high level zone ( /who all got me a list of level 65 and 70 players), yard trash was red so I decided to high tail it out of there. When I clicked the portal to take me back down I had 2 choices, Ant or com. Lands LOL. Woot No run to Com. Lands for me. I grabbed my rune and ported back to gfay.

I would love to know if I have to change my home city for my fae to be able to bank etc in Qey. As I have my portals now I could move and just port back and forth each night. It will still add some travel time to the end of my night but meh. So I guess I need to know , can I bank in Qey with out betraying ? Will merchants sell to me in Qey and area. Are there any other things I am not thinking about that I should be ?

I had thought as she is a good char she could just go to Qey and move right in. Keep her call to kel , basically only have to move my stuff to her new place ( keep in mind she doesnt have to own it , my other char owns it, she would just be a tenant persay)

And again I really do appreciate all your help!

I would say keep the CoK, port to Ant when you want to go there and enjoy the best of both worlds!

Merchants in Qeynos will sell to you and guards won't dislike you regardless of your citizenship. (I see Fae in Qeynos all the time now)

AFAIK, you can't bank anywhere except your home town. The exception to that is Maj'Dul and possibly the banker in the Fallen Dynasty adventure pack.

However, if you can "shift" the location of your call (as with the "tie that binds" quest) you could bind at the Kelethin bank and go from there.

You can leave the Kelethin home dormant and avoid paying rent unless and until you actually need to go there for something - then the rent due will still be a single week's payment.

Don't forget that you can also use the KoS spires to get from place to place and that some of the locations will let you hop between good and bad sides. (like TT)

Fae can use the Qeynos banking system. Don't forget the Hoolukian Banker Drevious at Windgazer's Hideout on Whisperwind Isle in The Barren Sky.
