Down loading of patchesFollow

Hey All
I just bought EQ2 and after instalation I realized the download time of all the patches was 115 hours! I have dial-up since I live in a remote area. My question is, is there a way I can download the patches from a website since I'm at work and we have a faster connection? I really dont want to wait a week for the game to patch itself to be able to play it. I bought the newest version of the game with all the expansions so I thought I wouldn't have that long of a wait. Any advice or known websites where I could download the patches, so I could save to a disk and put in the EQ folder would help. Thanks.

My folks have dial-up also. So when I went to take care of my Dad, I made a complete back-up onto dvd's for the SOE folders and associated files. I then created the same set-up on my Dad's computer and logged on. It worked but I had to lower the UI settings because of dial-up lag. If you have the authority to load EQ II up at work and make the back-ups for home it could save you a lot of time. But be aware that even with DSL it will take a while to down all the updates. Good luck and welcome to the world of EQ II :-)

Thanks
I had a feeling that was probably my only option. I have the admin rights to install, just worried that my co-worker will have a fit, he gets like that. Anyways, thanks for the reply and hopefully I'll be online soon.

Since you have Admin rights can you bring you CPU in and connect to the LAN? If so this would be a better option.

Unfortunaly we have a VPN connection here, I've tried installing a lap top here before and they didn't play nice. I have the patches downloading now and it's at 11 hours estimate down load time, alot better than 115 hours. So at least I'll be able to log on Thur. night, I just hope the game itself doesn't lag to much with a dial up connection. Thanks again for your advice.
