Do more ppl play EQ2 regular or EQ2 expansion? Which expansion is recommended? Will a lot of essential and fun content be missed if I'm playing regular EQ2?

Players are spread out all over the game world so finding people to group with shouldn't be a major problem. Yes you will be missing out on a lot of new content and the new L20+ AA progression. With that said, you should upgrade your account.

    Disclaimer: !!!

The retail packaging of Echoes of Faydwer includes the original EQ2 and all the previous expansions but the digital downloaded EoF does not include any past expansions.

You should just spend the 40 dollars to get Echoes of Faydwer. It includes the other expansions as well as the original game content. Kingdom of Sky and Desert of Flames are more high level expansions but EoF includes everything from level 1-70.

Well i play on every continet usually lol but yes i think people are still having fun in the new expansion and avoiding old world. If your still using classic buy echoes of faydwer because you get all the other expansions with it.

There is a lot of people of all level ranges in my guild and I'm always looking to see where people are. They are all over the place, old and new, all the time....people still working on Splitpaw and Bloodlines and Fallen Dynasty even.

Admittedly im on a low pop server (Darathar) but we havent seen many folks out in the new EoF content - we had farmed SH and FG for a while and decided to his Crushbone the last few days - one nice big fight with a group of FPs for about 5 mins and then we were pretty much left alone the whole time. As a result we are sticking to Crushbone as there are quite a few items and Named in there that are not on the DB here which we will be submitting info for and it seems just right for our group of 35 pala, 33 conj, 31 monk, 28 templar
