It seems SoE doesn't want me back. I reinstalled and updated the game. The last time i played was a year ago so i forgot my password. So i ask them to reset it, go check my email for a temporary password and my problem start. They don't send you a temp. password, they send a registration code, with a link to a website. You have to type the code there and then, set your new password. The link doesn't work. I delete the last part of the url to access my page from the main site, but there is no link to it. Help section does say anything new about my problem. I tried the chat and email support, but you need to login first. Creating a new account doesn't work either since my cdkey is already registred.

Is there another option i didn't think of?

If you can't create a login to get into the LiveChat or support forms to have your issues resolved, then call support on the phone. 1-(858)-537-0898, Mon-Fri 10a-7p pacific time.

Ah, yes, i forgot to say that. I live quite far away and i'm pretty bad at speaking in english. My english might seem decent when i write it, but i can take all the time in the world to write a simple sentence. Speaking is another story.

Hmm. That's quite a dilemma then. I guess the most direct course of action would be to just create a new free throw-away Station account. Use it to contact Support either through their e-mail form or Live Chat and tell them about the problems that you are having with your real account.

If that doesn't work for you...I'm not sure what you could do.

Yeah, that doesn't work. Like i said, even with a temporary account, they ask the cdkey wich is already registred. I think i'm kind of screwed. I guess i will be forced to pay a lot for a distance call to make a fool of myself for 10 mins...

- Go to http://www.station.sony.com/en/services/help/customer.vm

- Click on "Contact Technical/Account/Billing Support", about halfway down the page.

- Click on the "Create New Account" button at the bottom

- Supply the form with the requested contact information and Password and a fresh e-mail address (use a hotmail one if you don't have a spare). The form does /not/ ask you for a CD Key.

- Click "Create Account"

- Back up to the support page forms and click to the "Email Support" form. Tell them your problem with your primary account.

You do not need a CD key or CC or anything to create an account to contact support. Follow the above steps. Unfortunately it is the weekend so a solution may have to wait until monday.

This doesn't help now but I used to have this general problem all the time.

Keep a small book or pad near your desktop, or keep it hidden where other people won't go finding it and going through it. Write down all your passwords and logins and if you have to write which sites/games they are associated with. EVerything requires a login/password these days. Sorry to hear about your problem :(

Personally, I'm avidly against writing down any personal information.. even gaming account info. I've used Roboform for years to keep track of everything including logins/passwords. It encrypts your data with 128 bit security and when you use it to input your logins/passwords or personal information on a form it does so in one "splash" so that keystroke snatching trojans and such can't record what you've entered.

Its a free program for up to 50 logins I believe.. Since I have hundreds of sites I use frequently I just coughed up the registration fee. Its worth a look if you're in a pickle like the OP. Can't remember how many times its saved me hours on the phone with support trying to convince them I am who I am.. ;)
