So I FINALLY finish downloading all of the updates, about 8 hours, and I click play, everything seems to be going well. The Launcher goes away, then the mouse changes, I see a window bar come up on the toolbar, then it disappears. I try again, same thing. I restart my computer, do it again, same thing. What's wrong?

That feels like a video card problem. What type do you have?

Well I'm not a compurter person, but I have an NVIDIA GeForce2 Mx/Mx 400?
If this is a crappy card, which it more than likely will be, I just need to be told what card I should get, I don't feel like being made fun of =P Thanks.

You can't run the game with a Geforce 2. I would recommend getting a Geforce 6600. The card comes in AGP or PCI-E, has 256m RAM, and best of all it won't hurt your wallet.

I ran the game on the 6600 with Balanced performance, but by shutting off shadows all together I was able to boost up some of the other settings to improve the quality of the game's visuals. However, if you have anything less than 1 gigabyte of system RAM be prepared for some very long loading times.

hehe DizzAM! Gf2 Mx was an average card choice...for Quake 3 in 2000 =p.

I know people running as low as Radeon 9800's. My personal perference is a Geforce 6800 or higher. 256 meg of ram in the video card is good but, im getting by absolutly fine with 128 in mine. I also have 2gig system ram and huge loading differences when zoning with a friend who has 1gig. The 2 gig of ram is worth whatever the extra cost is, definetly.

I'm running a Radeon 9550 on it. I had a lot of driver problems and a bit of overheating...but I solved those problems and the game has run flawless. I got it for $30 from CompUSA on rebate....

I wouldn't recommend anything less than 9600 if you go with Radeon....but I would try to go GeForce if the money is okay.
