Screenshot taking ???Follow

First off /wave old ogaming peeps

Ok this has kinda been bugging me lately. Eq2 really is a pretty nice looking game but i countless see almost 80% of screenshots user taken be not so impressive.

My questions is how many people play at least balanced settings +. When i look over the screenshots people post, fan posted shots or even mob shots on bestiary it looks like its about lowest possible or for sure under balanced. Do people not have the hardware for it or just not sure how to increase performance?

I can play on balanced or high quality settings, but before I upgraded my PC to do that, when taking a SS I would generally switch my settings for the time being to high quality +, take the pic, then switch back to whatever setting I was playing on previously.

I usually play on High Quality but I always keeps shadows turned off. Shadows seem so unnecessary and really lag me more than anything else. Not to mention I am always afraid something creepy will jump out and grab me.

I usually play on either Balanced or High Quality. I've found that balanced setting is really your best bet for raiding or in highly contested dungeons.

That is also something to consider about the screenshots that are being taken. Characters who have submitted up close pictures of Epic mobs probably have the smart sense to turn their settings down to avoid lag while they are raiding. Unfortunately, they do not have the smart sense to turn it back up when they take screenshots. I like DSD's advice the best.
