Lucky Rabbit Foot QuestionFollow

#1 Jan 14 2007 at 7:56 AM Rating: Decent
So...here's the deal.

I eventually need to gather 26 gold (playing this game for a class)...

Right now I'm level 19 with about 4g50s...

So I feel like I'm pretty far away. However, I recently looted a lucky rabbit foot that is on the broker for about 20g...

My questions are:
1) Would someone actually pay that much for it or is that just people posting it for outrageous prices...?
2) Why would they buy the Lucky Rabbit Foot when I don't think it even does anything (from my searches on the net)...

3) If I can sell it for a decent chunk, how do you do it? I keep being told I need a vender or a bin to put items in..but I can't figure out how to do all that stuff...Bleh.

Sorry if some of these questions are dumb but I am really confused with regard to this stuff.

Thank you sirs.

the lucky rabbit's foot is nothing more than merchant fodder. it has no purpose besides being sold to a merchant for coin. the only reason someone put it on the broker is b/c 1)they are greedy and prey on the unsuspecting, 2)they put EVERYTHING they find on the broker, whether it belongs there or not, or 3)they have no idea that the item is really useless.

that's just what I think.

Solo, if you need money, just do some harvesting and sell rare harvest like alkaline loam or bronze cluster etc.

I am only level 13 and i got over 50 gold already, and i never went out of my way to harvest, i get what i see and i dont sell loams, gems, metals cause i make rare armor, spell weapon out of them.

So just out of a few bronze cluster ( i was over level 10 at the time no use for my level anymore ), severed bone or alder, yarrow etc. + some adept1's and there you go money comes around.

To sell your things
1. Get a house and a bulletin Board
2. Buy a bag or a box
3. Put the items to be sold into that bag/box
4. double click on the bulletin board in your house, click on sell tab, drag the box in one of the spot in the upper left side of screen, then set prices of your items with the button in the lower left side of screen

Low level adepts go for 2-3g, rare harvest 3-15g, etc

Tips: when you set prices, right click on the item you want to sell and select «search», it will do a search on that item for you and show you what its worth. ( well what other people sell it for )

Just go out to Antonica or Commonlands and harvest any shiny question mark nodes you see. The items you get from them are used in collection quests that result in good XP and AAXP. Many people will be willing to pay well for them to use on their newbie alts.

Many cracked bones from the question mark nodes can sell for over 10g less than 24 hours after posting them.

Just harvest as many collection items as you can carry, list them on the broker, match or beat the other prices, and wait.

You can also learn what recipe books sell for to the merchants, and often find very silly people selling them on the broker for *less* than the resale value.

On a good day of buying under priced Tier 7 recipe books and selling them to the merchant NPC, I can make 25g or more just from people not knowing what their items are worth.
