I play a High Elf Warlock, but am not allowed to enter New Tunaria... What's the deal? Anyone know what must be done to be allowed entrance?

No one gets in, or rather, no way to raise faction with them as yet.

Not sure, but I believe that it was mentioned that this wasn't going to change any time soon, but I hadn't read that it would never change.

People in /ooc have said that kerra are the only race they allow in?

Can any Kerran player attest to this?

Based on the lore, the New Tunarian view outside koada'dal as impure, weak, and unfit to mingle. They can't stand the risk of you blending in, having offspring with one of them, and weakening the gene pool. Basically, they are ***** now.

People OOCing that *any* race is allowed in are smoking something. As a Kerra, I can attest with full confidence that I am not welcome there.

The story is basically that after the occupation of Felwithe, the High Elves that remained came under the rulership of religious fanatics that preached a message of racial purity and xenophobia in the name of glorifying Tunare. Many High Elves who didn’t agree with the new doctrine were driven out of the city, and at least one disgruntled High Elf can be found as part of the War and Wardrobe HQ and speaks about his dislike of the new regime.

The developers have stated that the conditions in New Tunaria will not change any time soon, but that they *would* change *if* there were a shift in leadership. This sounds to me like they are planning an eventual event to change the nature of New Tunaria, possibly to coincide with the long awaited rediscovery of Nerriak Proper by the Thexians working diligently in Fallen Gate to find a passage to the remainder of the city. I expect, or at least I hope, that after such events unfold we will see a cold war similar to the EQ1 Thurgadin vs Kael Drakel.

Thanks for all the good info, I don't feel quite so much like the unwanted HElf b@st@rd of Felwithe.
