First, here is the question from another post...

Im looking into some of the racial abilites and it seems that a wood elf with the "Forage" racial ability increase STA by 2 and 64hp/tick, Human: "Tend Wounds" increases STR by 2 and 56hp/tick, Dwarf: "Butcherblock Body" increases STR by 2 and 64hp/tick, Half-Elf: "Tend Wounds" increases STR by 2 and 64hp/tick, Ogre: "Battle Rest" increases STR by 2 and 79hp/tick!!! So then I look at the troll and iksar (master's of hp regen???)

Troll and Iksar: increases STR/STA by 3 and 26hp/tick........... ....... .....

Um, am I reading this right??? Have trolls and iksar (mythologically speaking trolls regen really quick and iksar are I guess a lizard like species which is supposed to have regen) been beaten by the normal human, wood elves, dwarf????,half elf, and an ogre??? ogres are the biggest and strongest is the way it should be on top that beating trolls regen by about 250%??? wow, please tell me there has got to be something Im not seeing or something(for my eyesite is truly horrible) Do iksars and trolls have hp regen from the beginning or something that has nothing to do with racial traditions that stacks with the racial tradition. I know the trolls and iksars have +3/+3 stat with this regen and the others only get +2 but this is an out of combat ability so the use of that is not exisiting. Also, end game stats are maxed out so there really is no use for this. Up until now, everything that Ive researched about this game just makes me want to research more because it seems really awesome. Not saying that if ogres really do have the best hp regen ability that this game in anyways is bad but I may have to consider a race change for I was thinking that like EQ1 and mythologoy, iksars and trolls would lead in hp regen but unless the info I looked at was wrong this is kind of a bummer but maybe (in a hope of light) there is something im not seeing in the info or misunderstanding (God let that be the case because trolls losing to ogres, humans, wood elves, half elves just doesnt seem right. If someones got the info on this, then please post it because this is truly a question that concerns me. Again, sorry for the long post but I was truly surprised when I saw thi info.

Finally the question about housing is quite simple...

How does housing in EQ2 work?? Where can you build your house at? Are there any space left for new houses??Please someone answer this for me. Thanks guys for the awesome help.

Housing is very simple, you can only buy appartments or houses in the city where you belong to. (and Maj'Dul, if you have the Desert of Flames expansion and if you buy the proper registration item which is only possible after doing a load of quests to get amiable or ally faction with one of the three Houses)

At the beginning of the game, when you are finally off the island or have done the citizen registration quests in Greater Faydark, you can go to the inn of the suburb area or in Kelethin and you get access to a free one room inn. (included some furniture and the billboard so you can start selling items)

As you level up, you'll get the desire to get a bigger appartment or even house; this either because you have a whole load of furniture (the first appartment can only hold 100 items, which isn't all that much if you do a lot of quests or like furniture) or also because you want to have access to more vendor slots.

If you do not have a room or better, you can only use one slot to put an item or a bag in at the broker.

The first room will get you two of those slots. A three room appartment three slots. (I believe anyway, it's logically speaking more than the one room)

I don't think Sony will ever allow players building their own house.

Those are basically spells that only last for 30 seconds or so with a long recast timer. Think of them as emergency heals. Most people go for the passive racials, myself included.

By comparison, a passive, permanent regen increase of 5 hp/tick is a big deal even at high levels, whether it comes from a buff or equipment. I don't recall any racial abilities that give a passive buff to power or health regen, just an additional % to the pool.

Ogres probably have a larger per tick amount because they tend to be tanks with a high health pool.

You'll figure all this stuff out pretty quickly when you're actually playing the game. Trying to get a handle on everything by studying written material is just going to confuse you.

To add to what Zeiveraar said, housing is instanced. Many people live behind the same door.
