Could some one help me to understand how one goes about choosing a God to worship? As a Warlock which God would be the best choice for me? Any info on the following subject would be greatfuly appreciated.

thanks in advance

You need to find the prophet/diety represenative of your chosen god and speak with them to make your selection. I'm not entirely familiar with all of the benefits from each one, but I would guess that as a warlock your best choice would be either Solusek Ro or Rallos Zek.

Your choices are based on whether you are good or evil.

Good people sometimes pick Quellious and Evil seem to go Innoruk. There is debate whether Solusek Ro is worthwhile since its all fire damage when locks are disease and poison.

all i know about in the way of the gods is that i took the Faceless god of poison and fear and the little pet you get buffs you WIS and INT. which if i knew that before, i would've picked something a little more my speed for stats :)

Yes. You can choose to renounce your chosen god and then go speak to the prophet/represenative of another god. Of course you lose all the abilities and benefits that you had as a follower of your first god (you can't "collect the set" so to speak).

There is also a rumor that the Cloaks will be changed to "faith specific" soon, but up until a few days ago anyway...you could change Gods and still use the previous one's cloak. The old abilities and favor are lost though, ya.

I have seen some little fat guys in diapers(pets?) following people around.

Is something to do with the gods?

PS I saw those things when I was sober!

Check yourself into rehab with the swiftness!

Yeah, those li'l fellas are one of the rewards for I believe the Zek line of diety quests. Each diety has a different companion pet you get which boosts your stats by a small amount while they are following you around. Innoruuk followers get a li'l zombie, Zek worshippers get the diaper guys, Tunare loyalists get some sort of tree-hugging hippy crap I'm sure.

Brell's gives a little Rock guy...which actually has an additional benefit particularly for some SKs, aside from the Stat boost.

Mar gives a valiant beast, a nice lion.

It's quite fun to be on the boat and have him up, then watch him run his little legs off trying to keep up with the boat. Not sure if that has been corrected as yet, but nice to see everyone lose their pets like that Smiley: smile

If you renounce a God, not sure if you can then return to it afterwards. So be careful with your choice!
