This is what they MIGHT do with the classes:

Take the existing tier and add a new branch to each class; such as this:
-----------------<Insert Specialty Here>
------------------Swashbuckler
-----------------<Insert Specialty Here>
Scout- Rouge
-----------------<Insert Specialty Here>
------------------Brigand
-----------------<Insert Specialty Here>

-----------------<Insert Specialty Here>
------------------Dirge
-----------------<Insert Specialty Here>
Scout- Bard
-----------------<Insert Specialty Here>
------------------Troubadour
-----------------<Insert Specialty Here>

-----------------<Insert Specialty Here>
------------------Ranger
-----------------<Insert Specialty Here>
Scout- Predator
-----------------<Insert Specialty Here>
------------------Assassin
-----------------<Insert Specialty Here>

So you go from archetype, to type, to class, to subclass with AA options. As for new dungeons and instances, I really Like Tutan-Briar paws Idea for the steam work dungeon, albeit, I just got my character to level 15 and am just speculating. I also have a question, with enter the fae, did they release crushbone? Id really like to visit memory lane and kill emperor crush.

I am very looking foward to kunark coming to EQ2 but the logical way of course would be bringing back Odus first. I see SOE making a Evil Erudian city with great palace like Erudin and Paineel. (They have to bring the balance back between good and evil hehe). And they could bring the continent of Ykesha with it(or somes zones related to it). I can see that as the greatest expansion of all time.

When I think evil I think more towards Kunark over Odus.

I would like to see kunark as the next expansion with an nuetral/evil city.

Also velious would be great if they did it like EOF with the all of the factions from EQ1; giants, dwarfs, and dragons.

Kunarks way to big for a followup expansion. its huge. Odus/Paineel take a more logical step to the follow-up. However, Kunark will, in my mind, be the next "BIG" expansion.

I agree that Odus/Paineel should be the next logical step of an expansion. It lacks a lot of content, so maybe just an expansion pack. But it gives us "The Hole", a possible new raiding zone.

The next large expansion would of course be Kunark in my opinion. It will be interesting to see if they release the entire continent in one expansion, or several. Keep in mind that kunark will about double the amount of content that the game currently has and also intorduce the possibilty of Epic weapons that SoE had mentioned hey didnt want in EQ2.

Yea, only. Less ******** up of all the factions. I would love to see Velious with an ongoing war with some interesting changes in the alliances. Like maybe Dragons AND Giants verses the dwarves. Something to that effect.

I'd like to see something different. It's a new game, in a new time...give us something never seen before. It doesn't have to be restricted by the old world at all. That aquatic idea above is pretty interesting actually, with some previous undiscovered islands possibly. Just swimming down to the instance in Mystic Lake was a treat I found, instances and cities could be set up similarly..linked by Islands or Boat Rides.

I'd also like to see new spells brought on, something more utility instead of damage/buff/heal. As a Conjurer I'd like to actually conjure something other than shards and pets. :)

This is one thing that upset me,, th number of things sommoners can summon.IN EQLive a mage could summon EVERYTHING. They have lost that ability in eq2. I wish EQ2 summoners could do this too.

As long as they do a better job than DoF and KoS. They were just... blah.

I think they need to get away from the whole idea that they can’t take areas from EverQuest and 100% change them with only a few familiar elements. A vast majority of the game at one time played EverQuest.

Velious and Kunark for example: They really could redo those expansions almost the same way with some MAJOR changes to the areas and lore of the continents. People would love it. I GUARENTEE that if SOE made Velious look and feel almost exactly like it did in EQ, it would bring people to the game.

It certainly would keep ME on, especially if they brought Crusty armor back, man...I remember when that stuff was amazing.

Of course, EoF kept me on with the addition of crushbone and Dvinn.

Of course I still haven't bought EQ2 but if there is a need to balance good with an evil expansion then a variety of very interesting evil races are already in place in the game (and also all of them were in the Kunark expansion of EQ1 so that would go along with it)

A new evil race I would like to see:
1) Goblin
2) Gnoll
3) Undead (Skeleton, Ghost, Ghoul, etc.)

Anyone of these would be interesting I think.

On the point of raising the level cap I think the AA idea would be a better approach but either one could be successful.

I liked the idea of a clockwork dungeon and the underwater zone ideas. Very in-depth and something that would different.

Orc or even a variant of a mob in game, perhaps something that isn't ugly as hell for the bad guys :P. I would HATE to see undead, but I could see Goblin or even Gnoll, but highly doubt either arrival.

I have a great idea, how about they do something about the BOTTERs, plat buyers and zone distrupters, try a little advertising so the server populations might go up a bit and fix the bugs that have been in the game for a long time now...and THEN when they do finally get around to releasing a new expansion they bring some real customer service back to the game and put the in game petitioning system back in...

I don't want alot of people playing, it will

A. bog servers down
B. introduce stupid gullible people to the game
C. Destroy the rp

About botters and plat buyers, well, they are not that bad in this game. For a messed up economy, please play FFXI.

as for the glitches, welcome to MMO, they are everywhere in every game, some are just more apparent.

I really enjoyed both actually. I think they did a great job, particualrly KoS. DoF I thought was super nice, just bit on the small side for an expansion and with limited raid content.

If they are going to change things to a vast degree, it should at least make sense Lore wise. Gimme a previously undiscovered plane/continent and I'd be just as happy though. Would be interesting to learn a new backstory/history instead of a rehash for nostalgia's sake.

I don't think they were bad, I had fun in DoF and KoS, but they're just average. They have a lot of recycled textures, MoBs cut and paste content (armor, weapons, new crafting tiers). Especially compared to EoF which is brilliantly awesome and feels more "new".

I like the more traditional fantasy environments of EoF compared to the desert or outer space feel of the other expansions but that's just my opinion.

While I think EoF is amazing, I still spend the majority of my time in KoS, and a fair amount in DoF (as I am in that crafting tier, and I run a weekly T6 raid for the lower levels). There is more level appropriate content for me in KoS, being as the whole of it is tailored to the upper levels. When I start to play alts again more often (probably after completing my AAs on 1 or 2 toons, I'm sure I'll be able to enjoy more of EoF though.

As far as traditional, much of traditional fantasy that I grew up on takes place in the strangest of locales...so neither KoS, nor DoF were a particular stretch.

Anyway, I'd love to see the next expansion have the scope and detail of EoF as well. It was very well done, in my opinion.

Just a quick thought... I could see SoE do some nice damage with a remade and enlarged OOT (Ocean of Tears). That would give you water zone wanters a definate shot. And since Kedge Keep didn't make its way back it could be a nice alternative.

I can see Odus with paineel and all..but I can't see an Evil race for it really...unless ofcourse the kobolds took over. Maybe Erudin could be a high level dungeon too....

To be truthful I would rather see Kunark brought back..just so they can name the expansion "The ruined ruins of kunark" and maybe the new race could be sarnak!*crosses fingers*

None of us disagree, its just that kunark is to big for a FOLLOW UP expansion.
#49 Jan 13 2007 at 5:39 PM Rating: Decent
Maybe the whole of Kunark is to big, but they really don't need to release all of it at once. They could start with The Overthere and the Outpost, Warslilk Wood and a couple other zones including Cabilis.

Then later explorers could "find" islands nearby like Sebilis and Firiona Vie.

They stuffed level 1 - 70 into five outdoor zones in EoF. If a new race isn't in the offing then you really don't need a 1 - 20 zone like G Fay.

I'd like to see Cabilis as a dungeon city, maybe taken over by Sarnak or <hopefully> the Shissar.

I know alot of people would like to see gnolls as a playable race. I hear this all the time. They could alway give Firiona Vie to the Drolvargs <sp>.

I guess as long as I'm having fun and the content is there I wouldn't mind seeing an "installment system" for Kunark. I've always figured The Estate of Unrest was going to be an extra cost adventure pack, so it goes the same for Kunark.

just my 2cp worth.
