1)There are all kinds of quests....race specific ones in your starter towns on the mainland, signature quests that give you class specific items....and tons of other categories of quests (heritage ones...grand/epic quests for great status, loot, and Lore....lore and legend ones to learn about creatures.....language ones to learn the languages, access ones to gain entry to some areas, writs to gain status and advance your guild if you are in one...and more).

2)There is potions you can take to regen health and power, as well as items/gear that can (some of them can bring you to full health/power periodically...or regen faster)....and good food and drink as well for your appropriate level.

3)you can customize the size of the icons under the hotbar settings, as well as almost every window/menu. There is also custom UIs you can download...though they often need tweaking/upgrading after patches and live updates etc...

ok to the first ? Not sure where u are coming from but the qsts are not usually class specific. There is a series of qsts when you first come over from the island (i.e. Gnome trainer, Iksar trainer, etc.) that are designed to get you familiar with the city. Other qsts are more lvl oriented and alignment oriented meaning if your from FP you wont get some and vice versa.

Second ? yes there are potions that you can buy to gain hps and mana. But your best bet is to buy some food and drinks from local merchants. Or you can buy player made food and drinks that are much better quality and give back much more hp and mana. You can get this from brokers in the tradeskill instance zones.

third ? If you right click over the hotbar with your skills in it and unlock the windows then you should be able to scale down those windows with the arrow. like you do an internet explorer window by grabbing the sides of the window and shrinking...

will hope this helps and have fun...:)

When you enter a new zone, get every quest you can find. You'll discover that as you go about your normal killing you'll be getting constant quest updates and lots of extra experience and loot.

Yes i think what your missing right now is food/drink. Usually when you started of you had a stack of each. Food/drink dosent work like WoW, in EQ2 you just eat one and it works like a buff for a certain duration. So instead of a regen burst, it gives you better hp/mana regen as soon as you get out of fighting situations.

When you try working around with tradeskill, youll see you can make better food & drink. Or you can just buy it around, it makes a whole difference, be sure to keep using the highest level food/drink available and your downtime will be kept to a minimum.

Also, from when i last played, sitting didnt change anything in regen speed, i am pretty sure its still like this. If not someone will correct me.

Ah man its so far from the old EQ days, back then you had to sit an open a spellbook to regain mana faster, the spellbook was fullscreen so you didnt see what was going on only the health bar. You heard the puller coming back with a train of frog in guk but couldnt see what was going on, then you got up and the spellbook closed, only to see that hell had come into the room, ah that was great. It got me my first white hairs as a cleric there.

If you want to spend a little bit more you can buy Totems that regen health/power and it stacks on top of food/drink. Duoing, or grouping up with regen classes is also good for that.

You want to be using the appropriate food and drink for your level. There is a new tier of provisions every 10 levels.

You can actually use level 60 food when you're level 20, but it's only going to give you the same regen as level 20 food. Normally level 60 food is more expensive, so you're wasting money to use it.

If you're getting it free, then it will increase in effectiveness as you hit level 20, 30, 40 etc., which is good.
