EQ2 and decisionsFollow

Well I cancelled my WoW sub today after being fed up with the honor nerf and crappy content at level 60. I am not even interested in the expansion anymore since the game just feels like grind grind grind.

Then I checked my email and woot I am invited to VSoH closed beta 4. Okay then I check out EQ2. Now I have this really hard choice to make. Do I go do the beta or just dive right into EQ2. My system is nothing stellar but I can get 70FPS in WoW in the middle of Org on primetime.

Is EQ2 really that much fun now? Back when I played it after release it seemed rather dull and boring. Crafting was no fun with all the subcombines. If you could sum up the advances made to the EQ2 game that would be great in helping me decide if I want to VSoH beta or not.

Well, the Vanguard beta is free. If you hate it you can always try EQ2.

The Vanguard beta is still very much a beta. Many long updates, lots of missing and unfinished content and frequent server crashes. You may want to keep that in mind as you decide.

I'm personally a bit burned out on EQ2 ATM but I still think it's the best MMO out there. The adventure game has improved consistently since launch and it's more fun than ever. If you're into tradeskills, you like to craft good gear and feel like an important part of the game it's gotten consistently worse since launch and there's not a lot of fun left.
