Good morning, AllaK's - 12/26/06Follow

Good morning, folks.

Didn't fire up the EQ client at all yesterday. Too much other stuff goin' on, of course.

The in-laws came to visit. Presents and wrapping paper were flying around the house in a colorful whirling dervish-esque tornado of tape and ribbon. Scored some great stuff (Redskins beer bottle cozy and bottle opener FTW). My kids made out like bandits (tons of toys and stuff and I got them a couple games that if I'm feeling benevolent I may let them play on the Wii).

Ham for dinner. Wife made sugar cookies too. She's a good egg.

The Eagles beat up on the Cowboys. Being a Redskins fan I would normally detest an Philadelphia win, however my two favorite teams are Washington and whoever is playing against Dallas so I'm happy they beat 'em.

I'll probably pop in today to check broker sales and not much else unless someone shanghais my into helping them with something. I've got off of work for most of this week, so I'll have time later down the road for other stuff.

How was your yesterday, both in-game and out?

Yesterday was an interesting Christmas. I didn't play any EverQuest II but instead spent most of the day with my family rocking out on Guitar Hero II. I have blisters on my finger but it was worth it!

Yesterday was great. I picked up some cold somewhere and that put a slight damper on things, but no child wandered downstairs opening all the gifts whilst the parents slept like previous years, and both kids made out like bandits. One of the big gifts we did was to create a new bedroom for my older son, decked out in Hot Wheels with a new bunkbed/desk with a computer hooked up so he could play his games and get away if he needed his own time. He loved it.

We do our family obligated celebrations on Xmas eve so yesterday we all stayed in our PJs and just chilled, eating left over ham from our Eve fest.

came home after visiting the folks at their lake house. fired up EQ2, dinged my new guild to level 9. pretty much called it quits from there. didn't do a whole lot today either (miserable day at work, and me and my buddy decided to get a couple ferrets so we spent the evening putting their cage together and playing with them).
