If you are gonna slam me for not using the search function on here dont bother. I looked for it wasn't intuitive to me so I am posting. I was a Ogaming fan. I used it constantly. I loved the ogaming toolbar. Unfortunately that just brings me to the Alla home page. DO I need to just uninstall that handy little feature or is it being ported as well.
I tend to ignore flames or if they are ignorant enough I hammer you so please just answer the question. So far the "alla" residents have been pretty rude to people who never used it for EQ2 in my short hunt for the toolbar thing, hence I am asking this in a defensive tone :)

Wow replying to my own post what a loser! I found the search forums feature, which was great except I have to be a premium user to use it... FTMFW.
The toolbar was pretty slick. I forgot about it. You're the first person I've seen mention it since the redirect. Good call. Any word about updating the toolbar, admins?
LOL sup Madi. Faiille here ;) No one is gonna slam or flame you here in the Eq2 forums. And if some people seem a little rude, it's more so because a couple of days ago there was a lot of pure ******** going on without listening to what both the Ogaming and Allah admins were telling them ( i.e. things are still being moved, yes there will be differences but in the long run its going to rock). All questions are valid, esp from those who have to switch from Ogaming to Allahs as everything is quite different.
Yes, the search button is for premium members, but it really doesnt add much in the end. Once people get used to the search function here, there is not too much need for it.

I just tried to install the firefox plugin on Firefox 2.0 (I already had the WoW skin one) when I use it I keep getting this error.

No one tends to flame in this area of the allahs forums, and if there is any, its usually towards people who are bitching without listening to the info given to them by the other posters and admins.
The search on the side is for looking up stuff in the forums. But if you're looking for DB info, you will not have to pay for premium in order to get game info. I don't know how Ogaming worked since I've always used this site but I am sure its quite different and will take some time getting used to. I know that things are still being merged and confusion is predominant for those who are just coming over here. Have any questions feel free to ask. We'll help you out in any way we can.
By the way, I still crack up at your Christmas story. Miss seeing you in game =)

Yeah I wanted to search the forums, still having trouble searching the quest DB too, but its just a learning curve I think. I used the snot out of that toobar though and man it made finding quest info a breeze.

I may not be a chatty Kathy on boards but, I wanted to forestall the "Use the search noob" comments. Of course then I realized the forum search was gimped unless you paid. During EQ1 days I was a premium member here, but when EQ2 came out I dropped it cause the info here sucked for EQ2.

For those not in the know the Ogaming tool bar was installed to your internet explorer so if I wanted to know about a quest I typed in the quest name (or item or mob or recipe) in the toolbar hit enter and it loaded up the search of the ogaming database for me to pick the quest I was looking for. I used that on a daily basis.

here here as in the Eq2 forums? Where? Cause I cant think of any of the vets here who would ever call someone a noob unless it were to another regular and in jest or to Shadowrealm but he doesnt count. Any linkages?
