Could I get a Opinions on some good (matching) troubador armor sets? I'm using Emerald Hide armor (from Zek quests) and really like the stats, but I wouldn't mind something with more mitigation.

I've never outfitted a troub so I'm probably not the most qualified person to answer this, but imo you should start harvesting T5 while you hunt and work on outfitting yourself in a set of ebon chain. The plate had a slick look to it.
Melodic Ebon Chain
In my opinion, until you reach T7, nothing can touch a full set of rare player crafted for stats or looks. I tend to play scouts and druids and have always set them up in crafted rare at the beginning of each tier. Melodic Ebon Chain FTW!!!
