Good morning, AllaK's - 12/21/06Follow

Mornin', folks.

Frostfell! Grabbed the quest from the goblin fellow in South Freeport, but didn't advance it at all. Got sidetracked in West Freeport. Entered the Frostfell Winter Happy Elfy Wonderland and tooled aorund in there for a bit, harvesting for the new holiday recipes and such. Ran through the McScroogle's quest. Funny stuff (and actually about 20% of an AA on completion at 70 when it was done with). Not too shabby.

Unnoticed by me, apparently someone won the gigglegibber lotto game on our server (AB) not too long ago. 1,805 plat and change. Such a windfall. Congrats, fella!

How was your evening?

Game finally finished reinstalling and patching.

Logged in, ran around in Frostfell Village, made a hat and tunic, then did the McScroogle quest.

Got the feel for how defiler plays again and went from 19 to 21 and got AQ1 out of the way.

Realized that the game is not meant to be played with only 512 ram and tried to avoid large masses of anything as much as I could. (new 512 stick should arrive in 12 hours, I miss my laptop Smiley: cry)

Loving the new site layout, with actual content this time around, but really wish my comp could take alt tabbing without it acting like the world was crashing down around it.

Anyway, nice to grab a fresh breath of air after sitting around on my mage doing nothing for about a month (should have thought of this sooner)

Now it's time for sleep...or something like that.

Oh good, I'm not the only one who did a double-take at that one. :D

Oof. I play with 1GB and still chop up in some high traffic areas. I couldn't imagine trying to get through East Freeport or Qeynos Harbour on 512MB.

Hello all,

I to entered the frostfell winter wonderland and did some harvesting and Mcscroogle quest. It did take me about 20 min to find the middle of the maze. I did talk to a few people that afte a hour still could not find the middle. I love the snowballs. I like to wait by an entrance and let them rip as soon as they pop into the zone, then run before they knew what hit them.

I actually logged on for the first time in weeks in order to stock up on snowballs. I still have half a stack from last year. Fun times when it's summer time and you pelt your guildies on a raid with them

Quick question while people are here, so I hit 20 last night and got Baleful Countenance on my defiler.

What exactly is it supposed to look like?

When I use it I disappear and I'm just a pair of floating weapons, I blame my computer but just wanted to double check.

Yeah, that's just your graphic settings. The spell actually makes you look like a purple/black smokey mist person. You look like an evil cloud...with weapons.

Yea sounds like having all the particle effects turned off just caused my character to not exist. >.<

Bah, it's so annoying I just keep it off because I like to know where I am.

You can have the buff on then just use the '/hide' command (short for '/hideillusion') to not display the shape change so you can see yourself.

And don't sweat it. Once your 512MB arrives you can hapily turn those particles back on.

Came home and loged on an alt monk that Ive been leveling with my girlfrineds Warden. got to level 9 and died a few times because like most wardens and furys on the mistmoore server, they rather nuke then heal.

/cry.

saw the new aggression change but havent loged onto my main to see what the damage is yet. I might have to macro spam some low level taunts for a while.

well, day late, but oh, well.

due to a lack in leadership (among other things), myself and my RL best friend left our old guild and started a new guild. Already we are level 8 and closing in on level 9. not bad for 2 people and only one of them really doing anything towards getting the guild leveled. but my friend is working on getting money saved up for our herald when we get to level 15. other than that, not a lot going on.
