I knew yesterday was going to be a hair pull keyboard smashing SOE swearing day because of the Holiday update was going to be loaded. With this in mind, I got off of work @ 2:30 EST to beat the rush and maybe be able to get the quests done before the masses were updated and logged in. I got home at about 3 o’clock and by 3:15 I had the patch loaded and ready to play ---I thought!!! NOOOOOOO, locked out what the He—was this all about. I am going away early Friday and will not be able to log back in until 01/02/07 and I want every second I can play because I have 3 toons I need to complete the holiday quests. Well at 3:45, I was able to log in and get my first toon to go to North Q and accept the quest. Now one must know that she was a level 42 Templar and is mainly a soloist. Well the quest tells me to go to Everfrost and kill sharks and spiders. Crap I know where the sharks are but it means I need to search all over for the spiders and if you know what a Templar can do soloing in Everfrost at Lvl 42 is going to be tough. Well I made it through the sharks and was lucky enough to help out a dying soul who could direct me in the right direction. As I was talking something came up from behind at 1,2,3 dead……To make this short I go to the spiders and there was a poor soul dead on the ground so I team and revived him and we proceeded to take out the 5 spider in a very quick fashion…. This was great, back to NQ and gets the tree!!! What do I find out, I have to go back and kill the same creatures to receive the wreath, s/b simple I know were everything is --- Yah right a 2x EPIC shark had me for lunch not once but twice. I plan on going back there and take out the shark when I get back. Well after three deaths, 1 AA point and almost pinging 43, I completed the quests for my templar’s holiday room decorations. Now it is my lvl 30 Monk turn!!! May you have fun completing the holiday quests and watch out that snowball I found maybe comming you way!!

So far so good! McScroogle's quest was funny. Working on the recipes in Happy Elvenland or whatever it's called. some of those ingredients are rare as hell though. Frostfell spice, you will be mine!

The Frostfell content will probably remain for a few weeks after Christmas. I wouldn't worry about missing out.

So far I'm having a ball. My gf and I ran all 3 quests in NQ (the wreath, the tree and lights for the tree), and also managed to make a dent in the "gather a ton of raw harvested materials" "quest" in the Frostfell village. (Here's a tip for you... take the biggest empty bags or boxes you can find!)

We also took on McScroogle's quest although I didn't manage to finish it before becomming frustrated and lost in the maze, (she did)! I agree it was very funny... up until I became hopelessly lost and had to log out to escape!

Does anyone have any tips on how to get through that maze?

BTW - at around midnight last night, Najena was still at 5 instances of the village. How many did you see on your server?
