Overall how would you rate EoF AA's
Great:3 (27.3%)
Pretty Okay:6 (54.5%)
Not as nice as KoS line!:2 (18.2%)
Utter Garbage:0 (%)
Total:11

More indepth, how would you rate your class specific line?

Myself, I am underwhelmed with the Assassin tree. It seems geared towards PvP and solo grinding of levels. Come end game PvE (group or raid) the usefulness of pretty much all the lines is zilch.

Bleed offers minimal dps increase. Poison line focuses on hemotoxin and even with increases it seems to just barely match/exceed the Caustic poison with no AA's. The other two trees focus primarily on PvP or solo work so once again aren't that useful.

How are other classes finding their AA's

All in all it's good stuff. The final ability of each line could use a little work. The beneficial lines don't really lead to beneficial ending abilities. For example, most of the useful abilities on the SK tree imo are down the Reaving line, however the final ability of the Hate line is /easily/ the best final ability, but I don't see where I would want to sink 20 points into the hate line.

I would also like to have seen more "new" abilities as a result of this tree. Sort of like EQ1 AA's where AA meant buffed stats, enhanced abilities (enduring breath, runspeed, etc.) and in some cases full spells/skill/benefits (the SK/Pally horse wasn't always a low level fun spell, people). This method coupled with a maintained limitation on AA's earned would lead to more diversity and customization of toons.

My brawler tree is still quite a lot better than my monk tree. (monk tree being the newly added tree)

Nevertheless, the boosts from the monk tree to my spells is quite considerable. My master I heal was increased from 36 to 50%, which makes a difference. Damage spells are boosted too. But as I solo quite a lot, I have little use for increase in hate, or even the debuff boosts.

So I went for the heal buff instantly, but the others do not motivate me much, if I get to 100 AP's, I'll have to put 50 of them in my monk tree, but the brawler tree with the special abilities and stat boosts is much better.

All in all, considering that the amount of AP has doubled too, it's a nice bonus. But not that much more.

I've actually enjoyed the monk tree for my monk, seeing as a lot of it was designed specifically for increasing my taunts. It was the one area that I felt really lacking, especially noticable when off tanking in raids. There was a definite increase once I started adding AA points into my group and single taunts.

I would like to get all the AA I was jipped out of because I have characters that are older than the AA system.

The EoF AA system benefits new characters the most. My L25 EoF Dwarf Berserker has 22 AA points (mostly from questing). Combine the AA tree damage with some +17 damage crush/pierce/slash adornments and she really kicks *****

i went for the charm animal line for my ranger. got really excited that i may be able to charm a decent agro holding pet. maybe i was hoping for a little much, all i got was extra damage really. the pet couldnt hold agro even if i let him do 10%damage first, i still grabbed agro with my first attack. but still the pet does decent damage i suppose.

though the run speed augments are great, and getting my evac to a 12 min refresh isnt bad either.

all in all i think they are a good addition and different enough from kos AAs so reasonably happy.

as in discovery and such? You still get AAs for that, even going to the lower zones. I had no issues getting a ton of AAs just by running around. Also, if you have a friend lower in lvls you can mentor down and kill a bunch of those named that are now grayed out to you. Either way, its pretty easy to get those AAs you missed out on, even if you're lvl 70

technically it should be AP for Acheivement Points, which is another leveling system apart from regular leveling. You can spend these "points" you earn doing different things in a class and subclass talent tree to optimize certain aspects of your character. We tend to call them AAs though dating back to EQ1 when they were called Alternate Advancement.

I'm currently deployed to Afghanistan and have been unable to play the game for the last year. I have, however, been following the game on the o-gaming site. The two weeks I was home on R&R, I built my first computer, a $2,600 desk top gaming beast. Anyway, at least I got something good out of this deployment for my EQII playing experience.

I play SK'S exclusively. I have all my KOS AA's picked out. I'm going down the INT and STA lines. I've yet to see the SK AA's available for EOF. Can anybody point me to the proper place to go to so I can stategize?

Another good thing about being over here is having time on my hands in the evenings, with nothing fun to do. So, I made the ultimate SK soloer's guide from new toon to LVL 70. It's several excel spreadsheets of useful info. I focused on mobs and quests that reward plate armor, 1HB & 1HS weapons, shields, & INT/MIT gear. I used the o-gaming website to compile all of my data. I will be ready to kick some serious mob *** when I get home. Will be taking a whole month of vacation. Can you say EQII marathon sessions! Oh yeah baby!
