I have to say that I am more than a little happy about the whole deal. The ogaming people that have come over are all great and helpful. The information updates have been huge and regular. The new admins have been doing an absolutely wonderful job addressing all the concerns and feedback that the community has been giving them. Couldn't ask for anything more, well perhaps the ogaming search function since it was pretty sweet.

All the arguments against I have seen all seem to revolve around people who seem to have a very limited view of the actual circumstances of what happened and are taking a knee jerk reaction. Since Allakhazam didn't buy ogaming (it was actually vice a versa), the IGE link is pretty much nonexistant and Allakhazam and co. have shown that they are more than willing to put the work in to make sure the site is great and address any problems that the ogaming/allakhazam community might have over the merger I really think my main doubts have been put to rest.

As mentioned the only really valid complaints I have seen are mainly down to aesthetic appeal and people who are having trouble getting used to Allakhazams side tool bar set up and forum style, which is mainly an issue of familiarity and learning the site which will come with time.

so those that have paid for premium accounts have been hosed so to speak ??? or is alla gonna refund are money ???? or wait its free right now but in the future all Ogaming users will have to pay for a premium subscription and its just free until you get all the info you can out of them ????? now that sounds more like it !!!!!

Actually you didn't lose anything at all if you're premium. It's not like we took away premium features. In fact, we're adding new bonuses for premium members all the time throughout the network. It's possible we add some for EQ2 in the future, but if we locked the basics behind premium it wouldn't be fair to everyone who got the same info for free at OGaming.

I have to agree. This forum is horrible compared to what Ogamin used to be. I too am looking for another site to find information for EQ2.

Instead of using logic and well constructed arguements, I'm just going to tell the truth:

Alla ftw

stop posting cry baby posts

move your mouse over to the search bar, do you see it. Now, I'm not sure how easy you had it at Ogaming, but I'm pretty sure the search field is easy enough to use that my sister who is all of 12 can use it for her dirge.

I have used alla, and NOTHING else, ever, for all of my MMO searches. Pre bazaar days I even used it to sell equipment in EQ1, at this time, I was about 13-14. Alla has gotten BETTER since then, and will continue to grow. Which is why in WoW, EQ1, EQ2, and even in Linage, when you ask a question that stumps everyon present they send you this link:

www.allakhazam.com, check this site out, it should have the answer.

on top of that alla is not a static site, everything is in production or in the means of being made better, so uh, i guess what I'm trying to say is this:

If you don't like it, use google, maybe even Lycos. this isn't to people giving out constructive criticism, this is to those who make an account, post once about how much they hate allah, and then come back to check-up on it.

So you cant scroll through the forums? the only ones NOT at the top would consist as necro posts by your standards. Secondly, most of the real info SHOULD be in the actual subcategory. Let us take a standard question:

Where is this item?

go up to search. type item name in. click item link. read. comprehend.

Now questions that have already been answered and are not in the first two pages on the forum have, almost guaranteed, changed since they where last posted, eq2 changes to much. so, make a new topic. As for being helpful, just reply to questions asked in forum. I don't see how searching through backlogged forum posts will help you in a game as dynamic as eq2.
