Hey guys.

Comments: We're getting them back! See here: http://eq2.allakhazam.com/forum.html?forum=19;mid=1166558528300558082;num=4;page=1

Another complaint I've seen is "We have to pay for premium to get all the features". Not one feature on EQ2 Allakhazam is behind premium, and no feature we currently have up will be. We would never make you guys pay for stuff that you used to get for free on OGaming.

Finally, you guys may have noticed we've removed all advertising from the site. It's obviously not going to stay this way forever but when ads do come back you should notice less, and they should not nearly be as intrusive as they were before we turned them off.

If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Kick ***, Drak. Keeping the content that that we helped create free and slimming down the ads will go a long way towards converting the doubters. Great announcement!

Been a member of the Allakhazam community since 2002, didn't have a registered account until 2003 and I didnt have premium until 2004.

Like Draknorr mentioned having premium gives me no uber access to secret databases or search features. I have the same access as non-premium. I just like having the avatar and helping support a great site.

I'm not complaining but it would be easy for anyone with basic php/mysql knowledge to write a small routine to read in the comments table from ogaming, adjust it for compatibility and write it back in to a new table here.

I have to say, the comments in the quest database was where the bulk of the useful info resided. Most of the qeust descriptions are pretty bare and generally useless. The comments had all the helpful tidbits and detailed info that made the entire database worthwhile.

Please find a way to port the comments over. It CAN be done pretty easily.

I would agree that there was a ton of useful data residing in the comments but there was also a ton of old out dated data that could easily mislead newbie's. I for one ran around in circles on one quest to find out that when SOE did UP 24 that took out the requirement.

So far I seen a lot of complaining but no action to help make this a community for EQII users like you state O-Gamming contained. I agree the quest query was a heck of a lot better on O-Gamming so I ask Allakhazam - can you institute the query system O-gamming? As for comments, I plan on starting a new toon next year and post to the quests any and all info that is missing. This way we can make it our guide managed by Allakhazam.
