Hey guys, I was thinking about purchasing EQII, and I wanted to know if I would enjoy playing it. I mean is it too late to start? ie lower level areas being desolate, and also how is the leveling system, is it like the old eq, any other tips you find benefitting would be much appreciated, also I would appreciate it if anyone would be willing to help me start out :D thanks.

Hello Kazem.

The newest expansion Echoes of Faydwer was just released last month. This is important for the following reasons

a) EoF retail comes with all previous expansions plus the original game. So everything you need to play and be uptodate. All for 39.99$. Please note that the Digital Download of EoF off the SOE store does not include previous expansions or the original game.

b)EoF gave us a new race plus content spanning lvl 1-70. So a lot of players are going back through to experience the new content as well as a number of new players. Lots of groups and content to explore with no worries of being lonely.

Anyways hope that helps. Hope to see you in the world of Norrath!

There is a sticky post at the top of this page that explains much about the game.

It is never too late to start, there are new players arriving all the time. You will have the benefit of starting a game that has been through many updates and revisions to make it a well-balanced experience. And no need to mention the vast geography that you will enjoy exploring!

There is content for all styles of play, solo, group, and raid. Even if you happen to be on during a slow night, there is always things you can do as a solo player.

The leveling is faster than EQ1, mainly due to the high concentration of critters. Here you will get new spells with every level, automatically. No more having to run to the vendor to buy a new spell (except for higher levels).

When you create a character and choose a server, consider Najena. We have a bustling population, stable economy, players in almost every zone, and guilds of all levels.

When you get there, look me up. I can help you get started with advice, directions, upgrades, and some coin. Type /who all foundation to see who is on.

See you there! :)
