I had no urge to create froggies when the frog craze was running rampant. I did not resist the urge to create little Fae folk when that craze began. Back in EQ Live days I created a couple of wood elves and soon discovered that I didn't like tree town. Now, even with the new and improved tree town I find it very unsettling. My little fae folk were only lvl 10s but I decided to make the big move to Qeynos. I had noticed that their broker was Qeynos based and didn't think it would be any problem.

I collected all of my household goods, relinquished my home ownership (typed my name in) and was promptly evicted onto the streets of tree town. I stowed all my belongings except what was needed for the trip into the bank.

After 6-consecutive deaths attempting to cross Butcherblock and enlisted the kindly offered aid of a higher level to lead me to the promised land and battle all the creatures that wanted to have me for lunch. With only one more death I came over the rise and beheld the beautiful docks of Butcherblock. The sea voyage was uneventful and I landed happily in the Steppes. I know the Steppes and Antonica so it was simple to cross the lands and approach the gates of my soon to be new home city, Qeynos.

I decided that The Baubbleshire would be the best place for me since the inhabitants there were closer to my eye level. Unhappily I discovered that since I was not a citizen of Qeynos I could not rent lodgings. So I began to gather up all the quests I could in hopes of attaining citizenship. I completed the quests in Baubbleshire, Oakmyst Forest, Forest Ruins, and the Caves. I even picked up everyone one of the city writs and any quests that were available in all of Q town. Still I am barred from home ownership because I am not a citizen.

So now I am wondering and searching to the answer of just how one becomes a citizen? Does anyone know the answer?

Hi Zoo!

You'll have to relinquish your Kelethin citizenship before you can become a citizen of Qeynos.

Unfortunately, since your bank is tied to your citizenship, you'll also have to empty it out completely, (including your room vault), before you can change cities.

I would imagine you give up your citizenship to any city by betraying.

(Sorry to be the bearer of such bad news!)

Apparently it's not possible as yet.

I know how to switch from Qeynos to Kelethin, I might actually do that at one point although I'm thinking of betraying to Freeport before or after that (need more quests, I'll get a lot of them betraying), but I have no clue how to do the inverse. If that even is possible.

Not even sure if Freeport players can betray to Kelethin. Could be that they have to betray to Qeynos first and then switch to Kelethin.

I struck on an idea this morning that I thought might work. I purchased the Qeynos Citizenship book at the mage tower. I managed to get updates for each of the visits I was required to make until the final step. Lesso just ignores me.

So for now my little Fae folk are rooming with their gnome cousins. That will be very limiting but for now a work-around.

Thanks for all the suggestions and help guys,
