What class, class, class...Follow

#1 Dec 09 2006 at 12:57 PM Rating: Decent
I had a few questions more, if people would be so kind as to answer more of them.

1) How does a wizards DPS compare to other DPS classes? Are there too many wizards? Can they solo? Are they wanted for groups (and raid groups) or is the 'market saturated?'

2) What classes are the most sought after?

3) Can priest classes cast while in wolf, bear, cat, or wraith form?

4) How do rogue type classes fit into the dynamic?

5) How do bards fit into the dynamic? What is their role? Can they heal?

Thanks again to the Allakhazam community for indulging my questions.

Also, is anyone here in a guild of raid quality that is looking for more members? I plan on shooting up through the levels as for about the first 3 weeks after I get the game I'll be on for an un-godly number of hours until my job kicks in.

1 not sure, but I have seen several wizards solo in the mid game.

2 Healers tend to be the most sought after.

3 yes

4 they are dps, they tend to stay behind the mob attacking what the tank is.

5 Bards cant really heal, but Troubs get a HoT buff, while dirges gat a life pact ability in the late game. Bards are suppose to be DPS, though they are the weakest at it. They do get some nice buffs that are suppose to make up the difference, such as percussion of stone.

Play a chanter, either coercer or illusionist.

They are probably the most in demand by raid guilds. Since everyone needs a mezzer.

How much longer do you think the game will continue? I know vanguard is coming out, do you think everyone will move to that? I was hoping to have something to play for more than 6 months. Thats partly why I was stuck between this and wow. Cause wow will obviously be continuing for a long while.

Also, does anyone have a guild that might be interested in picking me up?

I think EQ2 will be around for quite awhile, IMO. They still have a lot of content they can use from EQ1 when needed, and the fan base seems to be growing, especially after the release of the latest expansion, EOF.

As for guilds, your best bet is to figure out what kind of guild you're looking to join, and start researching the guilds on your server for a best fit. Then send out an app or two.

1. Wizards are good at dps get some very high dmg spells for single targets they usually stay at the top of the dps charts can solo well if you root nuke nuke root. The tend to be alot of wizards running around.

2. Healers tanks and mezzers.

3. Yes we can cast in any form we are in it's just a illusion buff with added stats. and you can hide the form if you wish. It's not like wow where different forms change your abilities.

4. Assasins swashbucklers can really pump out the dps and tend to pull agro alot and are needed end game but really every class is

5. bards are buffers and minor dps compared to other scout classes

From what I have heard of VG it is more of a throwback to EQ1 grindage. Also it is so system intensive that it makes EQ2 seem low maintenance.

Probably see a lot of players join up via Station access and end up coming back.

Wizzie's in my opinion are a great dps class, on vox there really arent that many end game wizzies in comparison to other dps classes, but personally i would roll a warlock if i went sorcerer.
