You know you want some: An IntroductionFollow

#1 Dec 07 2006 at 5:08 PM Rating: Good
Hey folks. Might as well make an "official" introduction since that seems to be the "neighborly" thing to do around here lately.

In-game vitals: L70, SK, Antonia Bayle, <Mediocrity>

I'm Stugein. Member of the OGaming Moderators Unit. I'll start posting in here more oft*swats furiously at a passing pop-up ad*...more often as the boards have seemingly made their transition. I've popped in and posted here from time to time (the last time I think was when I posted my Qeynos to Freeport Betrayal Guide many moons ago) so I recognize some of the names. Looking forward to getting to know you all over here on this side of the fence.

Are you people even aware that you have an IRC channel? It's dead as hell in there...

The crusade for image tags begins here! Let sound the cry of the people! Well..at least as so much as text can "sound"...

Do you know why paladins don't get feign death? Because the fall would kill them.

Tip your waitresses. See ya 'round.

.

Firefox can add a poor man's [IMG] extension that "converts text URLs and links to images into thumbnails of the said image" which will then be displayed the same way as a sig. Check out FF extension "text to image 1.2.2". Once installed users here will see the image without having to click through to another website.

And the image will display, in-post and properly sized, for people without Firefox or the extension installed?

Wait wait! Don't try to tempt me with your "settle for a workaround" methods! Support for full board IMG tag embedding is the only option!

Only works using Firefox with the image to text extention installed.

/soap box

Firefox is so much better than Microsofts IE - why not give it a try?

Have you poked around with IE7? They've actually made some nice progress. I'll stick happily in Firefox land for now, but IE is making a strong argument nowadays.

Now enough of this palaver, let's get some actual IMG tag love up in here!

Been holding off until it's been debugged - is IE7 working ok for you ?

I think I'll give IE another try when Vista comes out.

Welcome Stugein!
