Old member and lurker returning to SOE and EQII after a long time away.

*casts a quick spell and fades into the shadows again lurking*

Another lurker here. I used to love allakhazam's when I played eq1 but was converted to ogaming with eq2. I really hope alla can equal what we had with ogaming.

The admins migrated the Ogaming database to this site - we should have the identical information - along with improved Irish Springâ„¢ scrubbing bubbles !

I've also been a big fan of ogaming, but I like the idea of combining sites because I'm sick of looking at year-old posts for quests that I'm working on. I hope this becomes a place for relavent information to be exchanged more quickly and regularly than either of the sites was before.

I can't promise anything, since my participation seems to depend on my mood when I get off work, but I will try to post every so often. who knows. maybe I will like it over here at AllaK

EQ2 = new game

Try not to compare it to EQ or it will just get you confused. I would start a new character and read all your newbie quests and tips. Once you get to around level 10 you should have a general idea about how to play.

I'm here, but I never posted in ogaming forums, or in alla's forums. But with the merger, things are looking bright indeed

The FAQ at the top should help you get acclimated to Norrath 500 years later.

like where is the bazaar

There is no fixed selling area like the EQ1 Bazaar in EQ2. Look around town for an NPC called a Broker (ask a guard) and he or she will open a search interface for finding anything other players have up for sale.

and what are the hot zones for each level to gain best exp?

They still do that in EQ1? We don't have that here because there aren't really that many zones for each level yet (ignoring instances). Those hot zones were always over-crowded and filled with drama and bad pickup groups. I don't miss them.
