Are those prophets still hanging around in various places around the world? Those guys in the city that tell you where to find the prophets aren't there anymore and I haven't felt the earth hasn't shook in awhile.
If so, that sucks.

All of that was a prelude to the return of the gods in EoF.
Since EoF has been out for a month now and the Gods are quite visibly back they probably removed most of it. Oh and if memory serves you need to find the prophet of a deity in order to start their questline and become a follower so they are there just moved and with new content.

you can find a diety historian, who will tell you where to find the prophet of your choice in order to start the quest line, at the Butcherblock docks.
