Good to see that the merger is finally happening! (although for instance the quest lists do not include everything that the O-gaming database has)

It should, we imported every single thing. Could you specify what you found that's missing? We're coming across lots of bugs and fixing them as we find them.

Here's an easy one. The Peacock Club quests seem to be missing, specifically Welcome to the Peacock Club, as well as Finding My(the?) Way. So I don't think everything made it from Ogaming over to Alla.

Will the quest search be changed ? It's a bit lacking compared to the Ogaming site interface.

Thanks :)

For instance, the o-gaming database has 84 quests for the area of Maj'Dul (including the three House areas), there are not that many on this site, not even close I believe.

That includes the quest chains given first by Dukaris and later on by his father Dukarem for instance.

I didn't think they were too bad.

It makes me feel old that I can recall those.

Thanks so much for the info MRRX and Zieveraar. We've found a pretty big bug and it's being worked on.

Short version is about 300 quests (and various other things), didn't get imported. It's a bit of a headache for our developers but hopefully should be fixed by tomorrow.

We're fixed.

Sorry about that. What happened is the server structure is a bit different on OGaming and when the database was imported a whole section was missed. It has been imported and we're back up and running thanks to rale.

One note: I am not sure the general search box works (the one in the menu) right now. If it doesn't we'll get it fixed tomorrow. For now use "Advanced Search" under the specific sections if you can't find something. I was able to find all the quests you guys gave as examples using advanced quest search.

Awesome - great work gents. I'll try and help with submissions but usually I'm way behind everyone else and just pick up any missing tidbits.

Yesterday, Advanced Search didn't find Peacock. It does today :) .

Quick question - Are there plans to move over comments regarding quests (or more) from OGaming to Alla? I ask because so many times when trying to find that one thing you're missing, it's inadvertently buried in a comment... Surely I am wishing for too much? =) Thanks in advance~

Unfortunately we were unable to move comments. Hopefully they should build up here quickly.

Trying to rate ("Did you find this guide helpful?") Faction for Qeynos and Faction for DoF game guides, get a "404 error" page.

Conjurer Spell page fixed, thanks!

Not a problem but more of a database thing:

1. The "Everquest II Forums" page would be more user-friendly if it showed the date of the last post. It currently shows only the title with no time stamp. Users need to dig into it to see what the most recent post is.

2. Faction Guide page. The quests listed for the Qeynos City Task Guilds seem to not have links to the level 65 writs.

Overall, the merge has been well received by the Alla locals. Even though many early nay-sayers threatened to cancel subscriptions or in fact did, the promise of no gold-selling adds has been maintained. What has not been made obvious is the business ties to the various companies, that being the main issue when the merge was first announced. I think there was a short post by a dev around here that briefly touched on it.

Nice job so far, and on the surface it seems like Alla is sticking to their guns.

Do you have cookies turned off? I can always tell which threads have new messages since my last reading because they're bolded on the list.

Alla uses cookies because they'll show differently on different access points. The EQ2 main boards have the new messages = bold thing regarless of the comp you log in from, so they must be storing that cookie info persistently on their end. (Hint, hint, Alla :) )
