... disgusted by the new skin for the EQ2 site? It burns my eyes.
At least there is attention being paid to it. I could get used to it as I am continuously and subliminally influenced to buy the EoF expansion.
Maybe it's just me, but it seems too cartoony. EQ2 is for a mature crowd and I feel like we've been FFXI-ized. Yuck. On a brighter note, at least something is being done.

I just wanted to drop in and let you know what's really happening. We haven't made the official announcement yet but we're actually in the process of merging EQ2 OGaming with EQ2 Allakhazam. Over the next two days expect to see a lot of changes and with these changes, the occasional error or two.
We really appreciate any feedback you have about the new website design and the new database in place. Feel free to post any comments or questions in this thread.

All I can say is it ain't easy being green...
I dont mind green, buuuttt this is going to hard to get used to. Either that or I am gonna have to use the grey stylesheet.
It is even worst looking at a sages name, it hurts the eyes.

Yea we're still playing with colors and tweaking the stylesheets. What you're looking at is more or less the final though.
Might be a few changes over the next few days, but not gonna be anything major.
Down the road sometime I hope we have user-selectable skins, but it's little beyond a wish now.

Question about images and signatures.
I've been posting on the site for awhile now, so seeing [img] and sigs is new stuff.
1)Is the ability to put up images going to remain Admin only or will average joe posters be able to.
2)Also for sigs will we be able to use our own or will we get something akin to the WoW reader sig that premium users on the WoW boards get?

Thanks for the updates and additions. I see we have actual current info about items and quests!!!
My nit-picks:
The font in the message body (this here) is too big.
The font used for the title (here it's "Anyone Else...") the date on the post, the member name, the left nav menu, etc. is very jaggy, especially when bolded.
The message body and other text needs a little padding so text isn't butting right up against the cell border.
Red font on green (e.g. Admins, DSD and "There is no 5th star.") is nearly illegible. The bright green is almost as bad.
Especially when I post something it really bothers me. Mostly because the white is just so harsh on my eyes after the softer colours lol.
It takes some getting used to, no denying that.
Good to see that the merger is finally happening! (although for instance the quest lists do not include everything that the O-gaming database has)

It should, we imported every single thing. Could you specify what you found that's missing? We're coming across lots of bugs and fixing them as we find them.
Alright folks! You may recall the great database help attempt some time ago where I sounded the gong to get this database updated with the help of everyone. You've always wanted Alla to update the aging database? Now is our chance to do just that.
Please go through the quests, review them, and start "Submit Information"'ing to get the right info entered.
And if you find some quests that are missing, (like some of my favorite 65+ City Tasks in Barren Sky) then next time you're playing, get the info and submit it up!

We're announcing it officially tomorrow.

Spell database is still the old one, at least for Conjurer. Only goes up to level 50. :(

I've added info for some quests already, unfortunately I've done well over 100 quests in the new zones already and haven't taken screenshots, which was bloody stupid of me I know. It is a shame that the full info of the quest can't be seen anymore once it is finished.

I'll have a look when I'm at home, much easier to compare. But I could have sworn that the o-gaming site has more quests in Loping Plains and Butcherblock Mountains. And for instance the Maj'Dul quest list doesn't seem to include the Dukaris, Hero for the people quest line.

Admin only. Way back in the dawn of time on the old UBB forums Images were enablesd for everyone. That quickly became a very bad idea because people seem to enjoy posting rather disturbing pornography when they think they are going to be banned / don't care about being banned / or are just a fly by night spammer. Becaue of the "Lady J" incident, there will never be image tags for general users.

The current plan is to add Wowreader style sigs. The main holdup at this point is that no one has came up with a default background image that anyone likes.
