Download FailedFollow

So I go to start up EQ2 normally, login, and get to the character select part. It does the normal scan, but when it gets to eq2ui_hud_choice.xml, it downloads, goes to decompress, then says "download cancelled". My start button is greyed out in "updating".

Under the button that would normally say Play, is a small clicky that says "download". So I click it, it gets the same file, tries to decompress, then says download cancelled again.

Restarted the client but no luck. I could try to do the whole re-install thing, but I'm not looking forward to it. Hopefully it's a SOE thing that they will patch soon.

Update 1: it's now on different files. Almost like my connection keeps disconnecting. /sigh. I'll try the Raytheon Reset.

Update 2: Didn't get to the RR. After continuous clicking the download clicky, it's now downloading, but stuck on misc.vpk. Started my music player - may as well get my groove on while I try to load.

Update 3: Can't seem to get past misc.vpk. must...keep...trying...

Update 4: Restarted client, enabled virus scan (I usually turn it off when playing). Scanned, updated files, entering game.

And now my story is done.

I don't know really, it seemed to have lacked a bit of depth imo. Perhaps the extended special edition DVD will give me what I'm looking for!

I read the book. Much better imo!
