Trial of the Isles - "System failure."Follow

#1 Nov 27 2006 at 10:17 PM Rating: Decent
Hello~

The last few days I have been trying to play the trial version of EQ2 but haven't had any luck. I've made my Station account and such, but when I click "Activate Trial" it always says "Transaction cannot be completed due to a system failure."

Anyone know why? I've made sure the servers are up when I try and I've tried clearing my cookies and such. I couldn't find a definite answer on the official EQ2 forums so I was hoping someone here could help me out. :) Thanks!

Post your system specs so we can have a look at them. If it meets the system requirements then I'd suggest updating drivers, particularly graphics drivers. And make sure you have the latest direct X drivers also. If that fails you may have to try downloading the trial again, maybe it was corrupted the first time. Not the definitive answer you were hoping for I'm sure, but they are easy to address and might solve your problem.

Inultus,

Your help has been most valuable! I managed to update my graphics drivers [something I always seem to have trouble with!], confirmed that I had the most recent DirectX drivers installed, and uninstalled, redownloaded, and installed Trial of the Isles again. Now it works! Thank you! :)
