Hello, I'm thinking of coming over to EQII. I have been playing EQOA and started to think about swiching over because EQOA is slowly starting to die off. There just arnt as many people as there used to be. My questions for you are.

1.) whats the highest level you can obtain?

2.) is the story line still the same?

3.) Is it still only 4 people per group?

4.) Is this game complex like FFXI or still pretty basic like EQOA

5.) What is the closest class to the EQOA mage? and are they about the same thing?

6.) i saw the whole "house" thing does the house help you while you play or is it just there to look cool and to say i got a house?

7.) Is EQII coming out on PS3 if this is true i will be coming to EQII for sure =)

8.) I saw evil people are in freeport and good people are in quenos but is there like PvP agenst them or is it just like in EQOA were you have to "dual" to fight each other?

9.) do people fight over raid moobs or do you guys have a guild mail system like on EQOA?

10.) Are there many "newbs" or "noobs"( people who are brand new to the whole EQ thing not just EQII)

11.) and lastly are there "Major" guilds or are there no guilds in EQII?

Thank you for your help and i hope you guys can answer some of my questions! =)

Don't forget to read the stickey post, lots of info there!

1. 70

2. lots of changes, but not totally sure what EQOA exactly is.

3. 6

4. complex, yet not always complex.

5. not a clue

6. houses are a very important part of the game, people are able to sell items through them, put items in them of all sorts

7. I doubt that sincerely

8. there are pvp servers in which everyone can just attack without any problems, other servers require a specific "duel" command before there can be a fight.

9. most raid mobs are in instances, not necessary then to fight over them

10. most likely

11. it's the same as in EQ I, lots of guilds with large and small guilds.

I hope you come over and experience the game yourself!

2) It has the same base lore, but new story lines. Though some you may remember.
4) It is imbetween, the game play is more complex then eqoa since it is a mouse keyboard game, but it is easy to pick up.
5) Conjurer would be the EQ2 mage. You get an air melee pet, earth tank, and fire caster pet, water is a special combat pet. You also get some item summons and elemental attacks like mages did.
7)There is no indication if soe would bring it over or not, but looking at what the PS3 can do, I would say unlikly since top end PC's can have trouble running EQ2. There is definitly not enough ram on the PS3.

I played EQOA and loved it, i would say that EQOA is more fun right from the start but down the road EQII takes the cake by a long shot... infact i think it takes the whole damn bakery. It is kinda intimidating at first having so many buttons compaired to EQOA where you can only have like a total of like 10 abilities on your skill bar.
10) there are alot of noobys now with the new expansion.
5) The conjuror in this one is very much like the mage in EQOA but if you were going down the hydromancer path your out of luck because all there is, is Air (like a rouge from EQOA) Earth (standard tank pet) and Fire (mage pets) I loved the mage from EQOA and the conj wont let you down.
9) Raiding in this game is WAYYYY different its actually organised and planned out, there are actual Raid groups not just big mobs of people, raided is alot different and i think for the better.
